Omega and Page [c] vs the Natural Nightmares

If QT Marshall wants a big push, fine, take him out of this tag team and push him for the TNT title, other than that, stop letting him get all his damn spots in in every single match. This match really didn’t need to happen, especially with the debacle going on with the #1 contenders for the titles.

Anna Jay vs Abadon

Abadon squashes Anna Jay who was the one advertised for the show, what kind of ass backwards booking is that? I’m all for upsets but this was a Dynamite debut, why not just book Abadon as a rising star and strong opponent? Abadon has a unique look that may catch on but time will tell. Right now I have no idea what this company wants to do with it’s women’s division. The Dark Order seemingly recruits Anna Jay after her match.

Billy Gunn vs MJF

Much longer match than I expected. Good to have MJF featured but he should be booked stronger. Billy Gunn is serviceable but I believe having a Shawn Dean on Brandon Cutler in this spot would have much more for the company. Why not build up a new guy while having one of your top stars look like a top star? The Jungle Boy and MJF feud continues when Jurassic Express and MJF randomly get into some beef ringside with another giant pull apart. What’s the point of all the testing when you’re doing brawls with so many people?

Cody [c] vs Ricky Starks

A much appreciated and wanted surprise opponent, Ricky Starks is a surprise I would have waited until later to reveal. Starks is a guy who can be a big star in the company, he has Attitude Era Rick vibes. Starks even got a vignette. I would have saved Starks as a big deal and used him for PPV, winning the title on his debut. Hager was watching, as he will face Cody at Fyter Fest for the TNT title.

Superbad Death Squad vs Young bucks

Even Tony Schiavone couldn’t say that bullshit right because the story for Havoc and Sabian changed so many times over the weeks. Slow matches aren’t the Bucks’ thing, the less of these we get, the better; the match was just off.

Butcher and Blade attack the Bucks after the match only to be thwarted by FTR. Butcher takes another terrible “shatter machine” and the segment gets messy after the Bucks win.

Le Sex Gods vs Best Friends

Best Friends were always going to win but at least we got a cool match also. Best Friends need to win the titles, the Bucks and FTR feud don’t need the titles right now. Orange Cassidy attacked Jericho after the match, heating up their rivalry and taking things to a serious level.

Honorable mentions

  1. Swole is the driver of the Roles Royce. Cool idea, overproduced and weak.

  2. Penelope Ford has a title shot at Fyter Fest, Im sure her record is good but why? is the my question.

  3. Cage and Tazz vignette.

  4. Moxley vignette.

  5. Evil Uno hands Colt Cabana an envelope.

Final take

Why are they announcing Fyter Fest matches sooo early? It defeats the purpose of the builds. The builds will have too far to go to sell me on the match, every feud will be overexposed by the time Fyter Fest happens.

I appreciate the effort, I really do but the crowds sound pathetic, they are too far away, the applause sounds fake. The open air space is what dulls the sound, if they can find a way to make it sound good I’m all for it but for now it’s a bit of a waste. I am interested in a couple of feuds but it’s just not enough for me to co-sign watching Fyter Fest at the moment.
