Cody [c] vs Kiss

I think Sonny Kiss is one hell of an athlete however, there is no way in hell he should be getting any sort of title shot whatsoever

Sonny was brilliant as always and Cody was far more aggressive than normal. The story Cody tells depends on who he faces and that’s just not wise, Cody is the constant, not the variable. I suppose a heel turn is in Cody’s future as well because now he’s exposing the turnbuckle to beat the likes of Sonny Kiss. The man that beat the “monster” Lance Archer not long ago has resorted to cheating to beat guys that haven’t even been on Dynamite a whole month.

Elite vs Jurassic Express

A really fun and cool match. A little spot heavy but so is every Young Bucks match.

Kenny wrestled in a shirt which showed his blatant disregard for the match itself and also turned me off from it almost completely. Kenny pins Marko then punches Stunt after the pin, not so subtly showing a heel turn in the near future.

Lucha Brothers vs FTR

Once I saw the botch, I was done with the match even though they recovered well enough. The match was stuff, as it should have been but I just didn’t get the sense that these two teams were where they needed to be with each other. Of course FTR won but the way they won was pretty despicable, ripping off the mask of Fenix. The Bucks take out Butcher and Blade to get the keys back to FTR’s truck but apparently they don’t know how to drive because the segment ended with them desperately trying to start the car.

Nightmare sisters

A quick squash makes the sisters look good but makes the rest of the booking look like a complete joke.

Excuse me

Nyla Rose has chosen a manager and her name is Vickie Guerrero. The worst move I could possibly think of. So Nyla wants to be taken seriously so she gets one of the biggest jokes in the company. Vickie even came out being annoying and what’s with the “cougar” graphics in her intro? What does that have to do with managing a monster and what does being a cougar have to do with prowrestling????!!

Jericho speaks

Really?! Jericho was talking about ratings? Good job for Me Champion when it ces to working everyone as a heel but what he was saying is just asinine. The Inner Circle was “slimed” with orange juice, a decent segment but I don’t like the Bugs Bunny skits.

Moxley [c] vs Cage “[c]”

A good match, mostly because of Cage, the man that kicked out of the Paradigm Shift.

Moxley wrestled a different style to combat the machine but it didn’t fit him. All of a sudden Moxley is Ronda Rousey?! Cage’s pre AEW injuries weren’t particularly played up until this match so what was the point of a machine that malfunctions. I absolutely hated the finish. Another monster built up by this company just to lose. A machine wouldn’t give up and neither should it’s “operator”. Darby Allin saves Moxley from a post match brawl, moving Cage over into a feud with Allin so the trash finish won’t be remembered.

Honorable mentions

  1. Jericho oversold everything on commentary.

Final take

The show had some good point along with some cool wrestling, the problem is it’s all very weak as an overall product. There seems to be such a lack of cohesion to the booking that it’s nearly unwatchable.
