Again, the show starts with people already in the ring, no introductions. Except Jericho got a full entrance then headed to commentary. To those online that were actually crying when they heard his music, you need serious help. That is not a joke, I mean it, if is entertainment, you need to be able to live and function without it. Such an emotional attachment is very very dangerous to one’s mental health.

The Bucks beat Natural Nightmares easily enough but Hangman stops them from beating  Best Friends. FTR gets the win over them and my God FTR is boring since going to AEW. I think it’s the lack of quality opponents and the upbeat tempo of the show, they just aren’t exciting at all.

Archer vs Sean Mulata

Archer squashes the jobber and Jake Roberts’ promo is interrupted by Team Tazz. Team Tazz just isn’t creative enough, the theme is good though. Darby Allin was waiting on his cue to skateboard then run to the ring. It looked like a bra and panties match, shoeless and rolling around on the ground, a waste of great talent. Archer and Cage should not be meeting each other yet, they should be kept far apart for now.

Contract signing

How long was this segment? This wasn’t a segment that made Moxley look like the number 1 ranked wrestler in the world that’s for sure. It was all silly just like WWE, I don’t see the difference between Moxley and Dean Ambrose to be honest.

8 man tag alert

Sonny Kiss, Pullman Jr, Griff Garrison and Janelle vs Butcher, Blade and Lucha Bros

There are going to be more and more of these so get used to it. Penta wins the match for his team with Eddie Kingston coaching them from the outside. The match was good mostly, there were some blown spots that looked really bad but the overall story of the match came across fine. (Shout-out to Kingston for his shirt by the way)

The Dork Order

Now when this group debuted at Double or Nothing I thought they could be the next NWO. I realize it’s a silly gimmick but if they were serious I felt that they could have really made some noise. Instead they come out with lawnmowers for no reason at all and if anyone wants to point out that it was some crap they featured on Being the Elite, I’m not watching it. I shouldn’t have to watch shoulder content to follow your main product, period. They brought out a coffin and some guy that was supposed to be Cody popped out the shitty neck tattoo he had looked like shit just like Cody’s. Brodie Lee had on a color changing suit for some reason and Anna Jay is getting a significant push (she later ties up a loose end and formally invites Tay Conti to join the Dark Order).

Dustin, QT Marshall and Scorpio Sky but where was Colt Cabana? Brodie left then came back to have a stare down less than 5 feet away from weak midcarders that lost to Cody. Why did that even have to happen? That was one of the worst segments I’ve ever seen.

Being the Elite?

Matt Jackson’s acting absolutely sucks. He’s terrible and I wouldn’t even hire him in a soap opera. Hangman was kicked out of the Elite for what he did but the problem is that he hasn’t been a part of them since AEW started!

Come on man

Swole vs Rebel & Penelope Ford

Embarrassing, utterly embarrassing. No way anyone involved in this segment should be on television. At the very least, Ford wasn’t buried (but she kinda was anyway). Ford was the last challenger for the Women’s Championship, she took Shida to her limits. Now, Ford is in a comedy act and at the risk of being buried with a comedy act (which is what people were worried about with Rhea Ripley).

Hardy vs Sammy

Good match the crowd actually reacted to it. A tables match is something I’d start the show with this match if I were booking this. Sammy Guevara actually won an important match, pretty cool to watch. Sammy is ready for the big time, he is one of the best wrestlers in the company.

Honorable mentions

  1. Could hear the crowd most of the time

  2. Terrible brief segment by Shida and Thunder Rosa.

  3. Santa and Ortiz vignette.

Final take

So was it tag team appreciation night tonight or was that last Saturday or was it the show before that?! I don’t know what happened 45 minutes into this show but it went completely off the rails. When you have 5 different bookers and wrestlers with total creative control, you’ll get a very disjointed show. Too many cooks in the kitchen and too many people coming out in one segment.
