Lucha Bros vs Jurassic Express
Start with wrestling, no entrances, this is too common nowadays in AEW. Lucha Bros lose another one, they have pretty much been nerfed since they got to the company just like Santana and Ortiz. What’s the point in signing top guys if you aren’t going to push them as top guys? Penta and Fenix were two of the best wrestlers in the world, now they lose to comic relief.
Eddie Kingston chimes in after the match, forcing them all to work together and shake hands. Eddie needs to be a mouthpiece for so many because none else seems to be able to promo.
Hard(y) sell
Didn’t shift any blame but what is Matt Hardy saying he has to get healthy from? Distracting us from the real issue was all this was about. He was put up to this by someone other than his wife, Reby wasn’t having it, you could see it on her face and she was wearing a face mask. The word concussion was never used…
Cassidy vs Angelico
Commentary was putting over Angelico as a guy that won multiple championships around the world in different companies but somehow he isn’t used on TV at all and when he is it’s to put over Orange Cassidy. The Jericho feud continues as Santana and Ortiz stomp out Cassidy after the win. Best friends come out to challenge Proud and Powerful, they go back to their parking lot match that they setup months ago before COVID-19. You would think that after Matt Hardy hurt himself so badly that AEW would know better.
Super bad
Kip Fabian is not a star, he’s indie rific
His presentation is just generic and the segment was lame. That’s how this company debuted Miro…The best man is a super lame nickname, who is he, Eli? Miro said some anti WWE shit like everyone does when they leave and delivered an awful and uninspired promo. He left a midcarder, he will remain a midcarder.
Jericho & Hager vs Sonny Kiss & Janela
Posing and waiting on spots is not how you have a match and tell a story.
The Inner circle won and all of a sudden Jericho calls out FTR as if the Inner Circle has even been winning enough tag matches to get a title shot.
Tag team celebration
The tag team division joins the celebration lumberjack style as FTR gloat. FTR talked crap to everyone but were then run out of the ring by the other teams. That segment was useless, it barely got any heat on FTR at all.
Nyla Rose vs Tay Conti
Conti looked better than Nyla Rose but my God this match went on too long. Shida saves Tay from the post match beatdown with a Kendo stick.
Dustin vs Mr. Brodie Lee [c]
Goddamn the ref was in the way so much I yelled at my TV. The match was actually good, a little too long but good. I wouldn’t expect less from two guys that have been on the main stage before. Lee wins and Colt Cabana is thrown from the celebration
Cody update
That was an excellent bait and switch. Hosting a talent show with Snoop is an excellent idea. The Miz is doing the same thing, two problems though:
It makes him midcard like the Miz
It shit on kayfabe even though he did mention it.
I still think this is a major plus for AEW and they will benefit from it.

Final take
A good bounce back from the PPV. There was a lot of story development taking place. Solid promos and interviews, even a surprise or two. Not a bad episode at all.
