Zicky Dice vs Ricky Starks [c]

I really wanted to see Dice wrestle with the fanny pack on, maybe one day.

Zicky Dice had a good match, there was a lot of comedy but it was good. Dice can wrestle as we all know but I haven’t been sold on his character until now. Dice had a good match with Starks, Starks brought out something out of him I haven’t really seen work well with him before. As long as Zicky Dice works with Ricky Starks then he’s fine. So with that said, we have a new NWA TV Champion.

Eli Drake  & James Storm [c] vs the Bouncers

I can’t wait for Eli Darker to break off from James Storm but I will enjoy some great tag team action while they hold the belts. The Bouncers were certainly credible against the champs but the involvement of Eddie Kingston made sure that the Pope couldn’t cause any Divine intervention. I like the Bouncers vs Dawsons as a great tag team feud and I think we need to see it by the end of the season. As long as the Question Mark and Aaron Stevens don’t get a title shot just yet, I do believe they will be champs at some point though.

The Dawson vs Caleb Konley & CW Anderson

Last chance match

Should have called this battle of the losers. Good near-falls, the Dawsons finally looked as dominant as they should have looked these two seasons of Power and they STILL lost. Looks like I won’t be getting that Dawsons/Bouncers feud after all. The Dawsons are a good tag team though and perfect for NWA so let’s see what creative avenues Booker’s take to keep them on the show.

Aaron Stevens challenges two legends

Belts, belts, belts, Stevens wants more of them. Stevens calls out the Rock N Roll Express and they except. Stevens was his usual hilarious self, repeatedly saying the word “belts”. I’m positive Stevens and the Mark are going over the Rock N Roll Express and receive a title shot very soon.

Honorable mentions

  1. May Valentine & Sal Rinauro get some TV time.

  2. Video package with Aldis and Scurll

In closing

Again, the true alternative to WWE and the rest of the industry. Zicky Dice is about as different as they come and even I have come around on him, though it may have had something to do with his title win. The Dawsons and the Bouncers are two others acts that really add to the different feel and overall tone of a product that’s enjoyable to watch that doesn’t spend all it’s time money and lip service trying to impress me, telling me how “major league” they are or how much they are listening to me.
