Main card
IC triple ladder title match
Sami Zayn vs AJ Styles vs Jeff Hardy
Excellent match, I felt like it ran long but with what they were doing they could have went all night and I wouldn’t have had a problem with it. I wasn’t sure who was going to win because there was a good case to be made for all 3 but Sami Zayn is brilliant so he stole the win. Sami Zayn brought handcuffs to a ladder fight. Zayn is now the undisputed Intercontinental Champion, let’s hope he makes it feel as important as it was last night, every night.
Asuka [c] vs Zelina
Zelina made it competitive and commentary put her over strong but no, she was not ready for Asuka. Zelina took a cheap shot after her loss, I don’t want an extended feud, I want Zelina to build credibility for a while and really make it feel special and not rushed together.
Bobby Lashley [c] vs Apollo
Good match, Lashley won clean as expected. MVP just laughed at Ricochet as the two losers left. Apollo is going to have to evolve to stay relevant on RAW. I don’t see Ricochet and Apollo making waves in the tag team division.
Andrade & Garza vs Street Profits [c]
As usual, the match was good but what the hell happened with that finish? I am pretty sure it was important because only NBA refs miss calls like that. Once again the feud continues and Garza and Andrade are losers. If they don’t win the titles tonight then just release them.
Enter the Empress
Lost in hubris, Bayley issued an open challenge and RAW Women’s Champion Asuka accepted. Bayley being a heel got out of the match without losing her title but Sasha Banks got the last laugh when she returned to get her revenge on her former best friend. This was way too soon and far too weak of an attack. Its probably because Nikki Cross was out because of COVID-19, or injury but I would have just let Bayley cut the promo and leave.
Drew McIntyre [c] vs Randy Orton
The ghosts of punts, past visited Orton in the forms of Big Show, Christian, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair. Orton was going to punt Drew and end it all but Big Show grabbed his foot and choke slammed him through a table. Then Christian attacked the Viper in catering. Shawn Michaels was the next man to exact his revenge on Orton and Ric Flair drove the ambulance away after McIntyre beat Orton with a Claymore and a punt.
Jey Uso vs Roman Reigns [c]
Best story told in a whole for WWE. The return of Roman Reigns is exactly what the show needed. Now, all that is left to do is feed him every babyface on the roster like they were doing when he was a heel. The beauty of all of this is that Roman hasn’t changed his character not one bit. He’s still the same selfish, glory hog, it’s just that now he does things with Heyman as his right hand man. Jey USO came close to making his family proud, instead, Reigns beat him down so badly that his brother threw in the towel and called Rkman the chief. Roman Reigns has been a heel and his character has always suggested that so no more articles claiming that he isn’t a heel just yet please, its clickbait and unnecessary.
Honorable mentions
Drew Gulak wins 24/7 title.
Final take
An absolute home run from WWE. With everything going on they have made the best of the situation and really put out a quality product.
