Kick off show
Liv Morgan vs Carmela
Big win for Liv knocking off a former champ. The match was cool. Liv needs to be a lot more crisp in her movements and a lot faster but she is definitely on her way. Morgan has a ton of support but I’m not really down with the fake outrage over her lack of a push, same with Naomi.
6 man tag alert
Just seems so pointless, this is a Raw match, a Raw main event. This could have been off of the show and more focus could be put on the matches that actually belong on the card. The good guys win. Lashley calls Big E a chicken shit; excellent promo. Bobby was fired up and challenged the new champ to a match on Raw.
Usos[c] vs Street Profits
Usos retain, the crowd was firmly behind the Profits. The match could have been better, the Profits aren’t on the right level yet. New Day would have knocked it out of the park; they did on Monday. Repackage the Street Profits a little bit and get them over more.
Alexa Bliss vs Charlotte[c]
Charlotte won; of course. A different kind of match for her, in both a good and bad way. Charlotte still can’t call matches but the size difference was a good angle to play and story to tell. Lily is destroyed by Charlotte and it felt like too much.. That’s a big deal and something someone else should have done, not Charlotte, she always gets to do the big stuff.
Sheamus vs Jeff Hardy vs Damian Priest[c]
Awesome match! 3 great workers that put together a well paced match that kept the crowd engaged. Priest is on a roll as well, maybe a WWE Championship match is in his NEAR future. I thought Hardy had it thanks to some great nearfalls at the end of the match. I’d like to see a rematch before one of them moves to another show.
Becky[c] vs Bianca
Great match, I would say on the verge of 5 star. Great story told, Bianca still has to work on her selling; it just looks too fake. Normally, I would say that the ending was stupid but because it was the Boss, it was fine. Sasha Banks returns to spoil the win for Belair. Banks is a star that always gets huge reactions so the finish was perfect. Also, Banks attacked Lynch as well so we gonna get some triple threat action.
Roman Reigns[c] vs Finn Balor
The demon came to put in work and that’s exactly what he did. Not match of the year but solid work from these guys. I really liked the theatrics at the end of the match and the different finish. Don’t let Twitter steal your joy, this match was good, watch it.
Final take
The internet is buzzing for all the wrong reasons. There are always complaints but this show didn’t deserve any. The show wS food from top to bottom. Sure, I would have made some different booking decisions but it was a solid show.
