The team gold on the line

Nia[c] & Shayna[c] vs Bianca & Sasha[c]

Lazy booking, a throw away television match is all this should have been. The champs retain and Sasha slaps Bianca Belair and Bianca let’s her get away with it, that is a lot of damage to her character in my opinion.

Apollo vs Big E

The match was good but too short. You don’t need this on a PPV before Mania if you aren’t going to do it properly. Sloppy ending as well, not what I expected from these two. The match itself told a great story but this should have been saved for Wrestlemania. Big E retained only to lose it at Mania.

Elias vs Braun

Shane faked an injury and fed Elias to Braun. This match didn’t need to be on the show, they could have devoted more time to Apollo and Big E instead of this. The story didn’t really go anywhere. I understand why they did it but this would have been best suited for Raw the next day.

Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura

As solid of a match as you can get, much needed at this point in the show. Seth and Nakamura really enjoy working with each other, its obvious when you see their work. Seth pulled out some new move to take out Shinsukes, now turning his attention to Cesaro.

Drew vs Sheamus

Two former WWE Champions putting in WORK. What a war, gotta appreciate what they are doing in this rivalry. Drew wins and looks as if he showed respect to Sheamus after their battle.

Orton vs Alexa

The Fiend returns, burned and maimed. Alexa wins and WWE couldn’t just wait until Wrestlemania to put the Fiend back in the mix, I would have waited but it may have been the best thing, who knows? I was actually hoping for an actual intergender match but I kinda knew we’d get a cinematic thing.

Daniel Bryan vs Roman Reigns[c]

There’s no other way this match was going to end clean. Excellent video package as usual, got us hyped for the masterful storytelling by Bryan and Reigns. I don’t ever want to see Reigns become a babyface, ever! Jey Uso had to get him a piece and Edge fell victim to a misunderstanding. The crazy part is, Daniel Bryan actually tapped Roman out but the ref didn’t see it and Edge took his frustrations out on both men.

Honorable mention

  1. I liked the old spice commercial/segment

  2. Rhea Ripley is almost here.

Final take

No fast forward and rewind option on Peacock, that absolutely sucks. Overall it was fine, no hiccups or anything. The clapping sounded very real, the crowd noise was at a good level. I hated the first half of this PPV but the second half was damn good.
