Fatal 4 Way elimination
LeRae was eliminated first which surprised me, I thought she’d have a better showing but later she would set up a feud so I guess it all worked out in the end.
Mia Yim had another match with some miscommunication and she was the second to go. Yim had another altercation with Candice LeRae.
It comes down to Knox and Dakota Kai and to my surprise, Tegan Knox came out the victor. Knox is more than likely going to lose, good. Knox doesn’t have a real character, no one knows who she is. Coming back from injury is a great journey but that needs to be HOW you tell us who you are. Let it be a vehicle for the story.
Strap match
If you don’t like Dexter Lumis, you don’t get pro wrestling. You also didn’t like this match. I like Dexter Lumis and I liked this match. So many are over analyzing what matches are supposed to be. Lumis beat Strong up, Strong couldn’t run or hide so Lumis got exactly what he wanted.
Io Shirai [c] vs Sasha Banks [c]
Barn. Burner. Hell of a match between these women with a surprise appearance and assist by Asuka. Asuka had a a cool surprise for Sasha before she faces her at Extreme Rules; a little green mist. Bayley cheated a couple times, trying to assist Sasha in a tainted victory.
Honorable mentions
Grimes isn’t worried about Priest but has to prove it in a match.
El Legado del Fantasma puts everyone on notice again and Drake Maverick steps up to get beat down but Breezango saves the day.
Rhea Ripley takes out the Robert Stone brand.
Mercedes Martinez is making her return on night 2.
Final take
A beautiful yet simple set, set the stage for a great show. Night 2 won’t be light on matches and history will be made.
