Eventful is definitely the word of the day!

  1. Return of the King…of the ring

The illustrious King of the Ring tournament is making a comeback! Be sure to look out for my next article for a special look at what this could mean for WWE and its potential to crown a new star.

  1. Who’s the Boss?

Speaking of returns The Boss, Sasha Banks made a SHOCKING return to Raw tonight. Natalya was wearing a sling and about to share a personal story with the WWE Universe when Banks’s music hit and the crowd couldn’t believe it. Sasha came out to console Nattie, or so we thought. Sasha Banks knocked Natalya out and proceeded to beat the holy hell out of her throughout the ring only to be interrupted by none other than The Man Becky Lynch. Becky got her ass whooped too though. Sasha took a steel chair to the back of Becky and wore her out!

  1. Faces do have friends!

The Club were up to no good and sought to put the old beatdown on Seth Rollins but Ricochet, who has beef with AJ and the Club, wasn’t having it. Ricochet provided some help but it was a returning Braun Strowman that finally evened the odds and left the babyface trio standing tall.

  1. I want a hero.

Throughout the night Seth was put over strong by commentary but the Babyface build didn’t stop there. Stone Cold later appeared in an interview by Michael Cole via Skype to promote his new show. During the interview, Stone Cold was asked about Seth’s match with Brock and he was also asked how he felt about Seth after his victory. Simply put, Stone Cold put Rollins over STRONG. The Texas rattle snake spoke about his earlier view of Rollins and how he now clearly know who the Architect is and that he is the right guy to be at the top because of his toughness among other things.

The build of the new face of Monday Night Raw and WWE didn’t stop there, at the very end of the night after saving Ricochet and Seth, Braun Strowman picked up the Universal Championship, handing it to Rollins as a show of support and confidence that he is indeed the face that runs the place, fully backing Seth Rollins as “The Man”.

  1. How Roode!?

Robert Roode is back and securing victories. No Way Jose was the unfortunate jobber but hey, someone has to do it. A quick, strong outing by Roode could mean a push but let’s see.

  1. Forgive and forget

Samoa Joe faced Sami Zayn and after beating him, reminded us he was not turning face. Joe said that although he forgave Roman Reigns he did not forgive “you people”(what does he mean”you people”?!).

Other noteables

  1. Michael Cole called the Jack Hammer the Jack Knife but realized his mistake as he was making it; haha. I think it was written down and he didn’t realize it until he was already saying it. Young and Graves had fun with it though, that team is getting better every week.

  2. Elias is the new 24/7 champion after a lengthy yet fun segment where we saw our first tag team or co-champions when the Revival both pinned R Truth. Truth later got a guitar busted over his head.

  3. Rey lost to Almas again, prompting Rey to be rather cryptic and emotional about his future in WWE.

  4. No mention of the Fiend and I’m glad because it gives the character some room to breath.

  5. The Kabuki Warriors lost and their shitty manager didn’t help them do anything.

  6. Drew and Cinder Alexander had a great PPV level match.

  7. The Viking Experience is the exact opposite of the girlfriend experience.

  8. Ziggler is a glutton for punishment, the question is where will this strange behavior lead his character because right now all that’s happening is him jobbing out.

SmackDown has a tough act to follow for a change, let’s see what they can do.
