Undisputed
Fish, Cole and Strong have a pep rally and discuss Dexter Lumis. Strong sees Dexter Lumis in the crowd right before leaving with his buddies. Strong continues to see Lumis all over the place. I don’t know what Dexter did to these guys but Roderick Strong is shook so shook that they didn’t even explain what happened or how they got out of it.
Keith Lee [c] & Mia Yim vs Gargano & LeRae
Nice synchronized spots throughout the match. I like to see that stuff, it’s never done enough to get on my nerves and the spots show good timing. I loved the interaction between the mixed tag teams, you just don’t get to see that enough. Yim took out both Gargano and LeRae at one point. It was truly a mixed tag match. The roll up at the end was truly a scumbag move by Johnny Gargano, he threw his own wife under the bus for a win.
Indus Sher
We got the names of the jobbers but it barely even mattered. The crowd was going nuts when these guys beat the hell out of these jobbers. Malcolm Bivens had some heavy hitters that look pretty clean in the ring with some devastating moves, they look explosive without being dangerous to the other talent in the ring or to themselves. Indus Sher are in their way to becoming the new AoP of NXT.
Breezango vignette
They speak about how they lost focus on SmackDown, a breath of fresh air to hear wrestlers embrace change. Breezango still keep the comedy act going but let us understand that they are still focused and more determined than ever to capture tag team gold. They face Imperium for the titles next week.
Cameron Grimes vs Finn Balor
A backstage interview leads Grimes to putting his foot in his mouth. Grimes fakes an injury but it fails to get him out of his match. The match is a hard hitting affair, even more than the last time. Balor gets the upper hand and finishes Grimes, getting his win back. Balor looks straight into the camera and calls out Keith Lee after the match.
Kacy Catanzaro vs Dakota Kai
Kai gets the victory but it was a hard fought battle. Catanzaro showed the fire she had in the Mae Young Classic. Kai stomps Catanzaro with a post match beatdown until Kayden Carter interferes. Raquel Gonzalez has opponents lining up, she’s going to knock them all down too! Meanwhile, Dakota Kai calls out Io Shirai, staking a claim for the title; it’s about time.
Who is Fantasma?
Drake Maverick interrupted and got rid of his awful music for music that isn’t much better. Maverick challenges Fantasma and Fantasma accepts only to be interrupted by the masked luchas. Who is Fantasma? Well he is actually Santos Escobar! El Hijo del Fantasma was absolutely fantastic, he had me fooled the entire time. A much see segment with a masterful heel turn. Haven’t seen anything that good in a very long time.
Adam Cole [c] vs Dexter Lumis
Cole certainly takes some big bumps, he was launched by Lumis. Adam Cole has the UE and the UE has his back so a win is inevitable.
The Dream saves Lumis from the post match beatdown but as Cole stands in the ring alone, Scarlett appears at the top of the stage and delivers an hourglass.
Honorable mentions
Exclusive interview with Damian Priest following his match with Balor at Takeover. It looks as if Priest has started a face turn.
Rhea Ripley dumps Robert Stone in the trash.
Thatcher vignette.
Lots of interviews and vignettes.
Final take
There was a lot on this show yet, I feel as if they had so much more they could have done, that speaks to how great NXT truly is. The next Takeover is already being set up and it’s going to be awesome.
