Gargano vs Ridge Holland
What a way to kick off the show! Winner advances to the ladder match at Takeover. I don’t like Ridge taking back to back losses like that, he is pretty damaged right now. Sure, he can be built back up and his losses are pretty forgivable but a win in his debut would have been better than two good losses.
Dakota Kai vs Jessi James
Easy work for Dakota, Jessi didn’t look too shabby out there though. Kai in ring promo afterwards leads to Io Shirai confronting Kai and being met by Raquel Gonzalez who then destroys her.
6 man tag alert
Breezango & Swerve vs Legado del Fantasma
Set up the proper way, this 6man tag team match isn’t here to waste your time. Everyone looked good and Escobar looked like a cowardly heel. Swerve had the pin but he was not the legal man. Escobar pins Breeze.
Pat yourself on the back
McAfee brings NFL experience with him to the ring with him because he knew the UE would be waiting for him. McAfee is money in the mic, I feel like he’s needed in this company, in this brand, on the main roster, he’s what WWE is missing; RAW talent. Best face to face we’ve seen in a long while.
Shotzi & Rhea Ripley vs Mercedes & Aliyah
Good match for everyone, all that talent used to perfection in that match. Ripley gets her revenge by powerbombing Mercedes onto the floor. Can’t wait to see Mercedes and Rhea tear each other apart at Takeover 30.
Finn Balor vs Velveteen Dream
Great match, haven’t seen a match that felt main event like this in a while. Thatcher taking out Balor so that Dream could win was a great chapter in the story. The participants in the North American title got involved but it was done well even though it was kind of corny.

Final take
Solid show, time flew by and the action didn’t stop. I’ve been ready for Takeover for weeks now so lets go already!
