Charlotte Flair rips Rhea
Rhea Ripley had much to say but Charlotte had a lot on her mind as well. So Flair closed Rhea Ripley’s mouth to remind us who is genetically superior. Charlotte looks great holding the Women’s NXT Championship, still not sure it’s the right move to put the belt on her though.
Broserweights vs UE
In a rematch from Takeover, the outcome was the same as before. Grizzled Young Veterans tried to change the outcome by getting involved instead, they ended up getting hands put on them also. GUV will be the next champs, it’s just a matter of where and when.
Keith Lee [c] vs Cameron Grimes
Cameron’s Grimes continues to show me why I was completely wrong about him and I love it. Grimes can hang with not only the best of them but the biggest of them as well. German suplexing Keith Lee is no small feat, literally. Keith Lee is going to be a tough out as North American Champion.
Tegan Nox vs Deonna Purrazzo
Nox continues to utilize the opportunities she’s earned and turn those into other opportunities, now she’s in a match where she has a chance to face the Women’s champ after Takeover. Purazzo has been a good enhancement talent that I can see getting a push after this next Takeover.
Ciampa gets payback
The two men that helped put NXT on the map, the two men that helped build the Performance Center, tore it down in a violent confrontation that ended with Ciampa driving Gargano through the announcers table from the balcony.
Mia Yim vs Dakota Kai
Mia Yim advanced but not without suffering the wrath of Raquel Gonzalez. Raquel Gonzalez needs a match at Takeover, if not there then she needs to get in the ring now and show us what she’s got because I like what I’ve seen so far. Dakota Kai took an L but she’ll be fine, her push has just begun.
Dreamer of dreams
Velveteen Dream let’s Undisputed Era know that it was always about the NXT Championship, never about Roderick Strong and his family. I believe we will see a new NXT Champion soon and that Champion will find his way into a main roster shortly after.
Raul Mendoza vs Kushida
Raul Mendoza put up a good fight, even looking like he could upset Kushida. Raul Mendoza lost a pretty fun and fast paced match. The biggest part of all of this was that masked men kidnapped Mendoza sometime after the match.
Honorable mentions
Austin Theory gets into it with Tyler Breeze.
Final take
Lots of things brewing, feuds flaring and new things to intrigue us. NXT has some things in the works that look pretty interesting and I’ll be keeping a close eye on what’s to come.
