Riddle & Thatcher [c] vs Imperium
Things weren’t going well for the tag champs so a little miscommunication went a long way. Thatcher wasn’t putting up with any crap so left during the match. Imperium make short work of Riddle and capture the NXT Tag Team Championships.
Cameron Grimes vs Finn Balor
Multiple feuds are always the way to go if you can tell the proper stories and that is precisely what NXT does best. Grimes picks up the upset victory due to interference from Damian Priest. Priest attacked Balor during the match to make his presence felt. Good for Priest to move on after his losses onto something bigger.
Aliyah vs Kayden Carter
I really liked this match. Carter is someone to watch out for in a year or two. Aliyah will have her time as well. I liked what both competitors showed in the match and the story they told was very well composed with a great callback at the end of the match. The Rob Stone brand is about to get more beautiful and exciting because Aliyah is literally begging to be a part of it.
Tegan Knox vs Indi Hartwell
The match I didn’t know I wanted to see. Indi Hartwell is someone that needs to hold off on a push and develop the natural talent she already has. Knox seems so generic at times that I can’t see her getting past the midcard but her ring gear is SOLID. Both Hartwell and Knox have a great look, the look of a wrestler is what draws you to them so this match stood out to me because of their athletic builds. I want to see this match again, I think it’s a good stepping stone rivalry for the both of them.
Jake Atlas vs Tony Nese
Nese needed a win but couldn’t beat the up and coming Jake Atlas who is pretty impressive in this tournament so far. Nese is just spinning his wheels at this point. Nese needs some sort of change.
Scott vs Gallagher
Gallagher needed a big win to stay relevant in the tournament and he got one after Tony Nese attacked Swerve Scott. Gallagher is a guy that can be heat up at any moment so you want to keep him relevant, not just have him lose every match. Swerve Scott can be heat up at any moment as well so taking a loss to Gentleman Jack isn’t a bad idea.
Thatcher vs Riddle
Riddle wasn’t about to let Thatcher leave Full Sail without running that fade! A different kind of match that only these two can pull off is just what the show needed. Riddle won the wrestling match but Thatcher punished him afterwards, looking into the camera as he tried to tear Matt Riddle apart.

Final take
A great show from start to finish with a great beginning middle and end with great matches in between to balance it all out. So much story all in a two hour show, this is the best wrestling product in the world right now. New Japan is awesome and so is 205 Live but NXT edges them out almost every week. Even during this pandemic NXT uses it’s roster expertly to put together stunning shows.
