MSK vs Legado
High octane is the term Wade Barrett used and he was correct. MSK makes this stuff look easy, Legado are no slouches either. Msk win a hard fought battle and I think we know where the next match in the tourney is heading.
Destroy Xia, destroy
Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro have concerns about Xia Li. As another jobber is destroyed, Kayden was taken out for her troubles. Kacy was next before Boa was taken out by Tian Sha. Tian appears to be someone they may put the title on if Io survives at Takeover. We don’t know who it is but Sha needs to be a big deal, not just for the division but for all of NXT.
Ember Moon & Shotzi vs Hartwell & LeRae
The Way are weak and annoying Kushida agrees and takes them out. I’m glad they lost because they are a complete Joe but not the kind you laugh at. Hartwell and Shotzi should NEVER wrestle each other. Their time in the ring together almost made me turn the whole thing off and I was watching a DVR recording. No more excuses for sloppiness in the ring, a especially in what is still considered developmental. Why would Hartwell take the move if she’s legal? That is the dumbest booking I’ve seen on NXT, ever. This is why I’m glad they lost and why I’m not going easy on NXT or their sloppy wrestlers anymore. Yes, I know it was done by booking but it’s just dumb.
Kushida vs Austin Theory
Gargano just kicks Kushida in the face for the DQ. Very weak storytelling, lazy and just plain uninteresting just like the Way. Lumis makes the save during the post match beatdown, both Kushida and Lumis have their eyes on the prize. Kushida needs that title and Gargano needs to find something meaningful to do without a title.
Don’t Kross me
Scarlett tells Regal that Kross wants Escobar next week. Escobar sends his thugs to Kross but Kross destroys them. I don’t know why they decided to bump Kross down to face Escobar, maybe they are bumping Escobar up or maybe they just wanted to work together. Not a big fan of these two heels working against each other, I prefer they work together and take out Thatcher and Ciampa, perhaps they will down the line. Kross needs a lot of work in the ring this is how he will get the help he needs.
Thatcher & Ciampa vs GYV
The veterans make it to the end of the road for the second year in a row. At this point I hope they make it a third time just for the great story they can tell. The finals are set, MSK vs the Vets. I’m guessing the Grizzled Young Veterans win. No matter who loses I think they will still get a title shot. The losers somehow getting a title shot somehow and winning would cause the winners to chase them so I can totally see that happening.

Final take
The show is always good. Great touch at the end for the announcers to announce the matchups for Sunday, really added an exciting element to the show. That needs to happen every week, this is what they have been missing.
