Kross is great on the mic, truly what the main roster needs. Scarlett is 95% of his gimmick that’s not necessarily a bad thing…at all. Balor working with Kross is going to really make Kross strong. Kross is definitely a de facto babyface now. Lorcan and Burch come out to talk their shit, looks like Kross and Balor will become the tag team champs.

Dexter Lumis vs Austin Theory

Theory gives Lumis a hug but no new friends is Lumis’ policy. This match was good for Lumis but really bad for Theory. Theory is a loser and I hate losers on my wrestling programs because they want to be funny instead of serious. Austin Theory needs to move away from Gargano and into some serious programs with a complete character overhaul. Lumis needs to get the North American Championship and move into some serious feuds.

Family affair

No entrance for Adam Cole just straight talking. O’ Reilly had a message for Cole on the big screen and Adam was not having it at all. I really liked the promo from Kyle, really good stuff. Later, Kyle tries to run over Cole and they are both arrested. This story is going to end with some crazy stuff on Takeover and its gonna be awesome.

Legado vs Breezango

Legado pick up the win against former tag champs. The match was really good, what you’d expect from such high caliber athletes. The match had its own story but it really served as a backdrop for the Cruiserweight Championship storyline. Jordan Devlin confronts Fantasma and DROPS Escobar with a head butt and suplex!

Kai vs Stark

Thought Zoe had that one, she showed a lot in that match, she’s still green but she recovers extremely well, she is main roster ready in terms of work ethic. Dakota kai looked sharp, she needs to do more on the show, she is a well rounded talent.

Io saves Stark from a post match beatdown by handing Raquel Gonzalez a contract for their title match. Kai and Gonzalez are the glue of the women’s division, they are extremely consistent and tell their story extremely well.

Ciamp vs Bartell

Ciamp wins pretty easily after sort of a rocky start. This match was yet another backdrop for a much bigger story. The leader of Imperium has shown himself and Ciampa never stood a chance. Walter is back and I hope that Finn Balor loses the title so that he can continue his story with Walter. Balor, Ciamp and Thatcher taking on Imperium sounds like money to me.

LA Night debut

I like everything I saw from Knight, he’s a solid worker with lots of upside, I wanted to see him go straight to Raw or SmackDown. Brunson Reed distracts Knight by ripping his jacket into pieces but it’s not enough.

New Champs?

Balor[c] & Kross vs Lorcan[c] & Burch[c]

Scarlett is so awesome, her acting is the best part of NXT right now. We need MORE Scarlett. Kross looked great but is still VERY green, so green that he hurt Burch early on in the match. Balor accidentally pushes Lorcan into Scarlett and Kross absolutely loses it, destroying Balor and losing the match. Kross then attacks Balor one more time, showing that the match was all just a setup.
