Adam Cole vs Carmelo Hayes

Not feeling this new music its so generic, can’t be his permanent music. Cole sends a message to Samoa Joe but Carmelo Hayes challenges Cole, young lions trying to come up. Hayes used the Cena ruthless aggression line very well though.

Love what they are doing with their new talent; this is how NXT thrives.

Hayes is a future star, boy did we really need someone from this new class to step up and make a name for themselves. Carmelo Hayes is that guy. He’s got charisma and the fundamentals. Adam Cole has words with Regal about Joe in the back.

The winner’s circle?

Frankie Monet continues to try and snake Jessie Kamea and Aliyah away from Robert Stone even throwing faction names out there like “Winners’ Circle”. Robert Stone is dressing like he’s from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures while continuing to be oblivious that his team is going to leave him to be by Monet’s side.

Zoe Stark & Io Shirai vs Aliyah and Jessie Kamea

Io and Zoe win, the most work they’ve let the Robert Stone brand put in in a while. Zoe Stark is a great enhancement talent, gotta be able to work from underneath; she’s the total package. Kai, Gonzalez,Shotzi, Moon,Io and Zoe all collide. This turn into a triple threat match made for next week. The Way get a closer look at the scrum and they will have to face the winner at the Great American Bash.

The Way vs Lorcan & Dunne

Dunne and Lorcan have beef so they challenge the Way. Gargano was talking all kinds of crap that would get him into even more trouble later in the show. Gargano gets the win for his team, Kross knocks him out after the match.

Electra Lopez vs Frankie

A competitive match from someone I thought was a jobber. Lopez really has a great look and the internet agrees. Build a story between these two later and let it come to a head at a PPV down the line. Lopez has a good size to her just like Monet does, it’ll make Raquel Gonzalez look even better when she takes on competition more her size.

Hit Row vs Ever-Rise

Hit row confront Bronson Reed in the back on their way to take out jobbers. Hit row wins, building their credibility up even more. They just may take the tag title in the not too distant future.

Kyle O’ Reilly vs Kushida[c]

Dream match that I never knew I wanted to see. Really upset that a champion lost but in the end its really not that big of a deal. Adam Cole attacks O’ Reilly almost immediately after the match. Kusjida was not done being humiliated though. Out come the Diamond Mine, a new group lead by Malcolm Bivens and the newly returned, Roderick Strong.

Honorable mentions

  1. McKenzie is looking good and doing good things backstage, she actually stands out as one of the good ones now.

  2. That charging battery has to be a new wrestler debuting soon.

  3. Jake Atlas joins the fight against Tian Sha

  4. New guy talks shit to Grimes in the parking lot

Final take

Keeping its momentum from previous weeks, NXT delivers another good episode. More rivalries are starting to form which is really solidifying the upcoming event and possibly something that will bring fans back in the near future.
