Dunne & Lorcan vs Thatcher & Ciampa
A masterpiece of savagery is what Wade called it. It was an intense battle between two teams that want to be seen as the best. Thatcher was better when he was a solo act; Ciampa needs him more than Thatcher needs Ciampa. Ridge Holland is back! Perfect timing because he helped Dunne and Lorcan pick up the win. The post match beatdown was brutal, as it should have been. Holland is going to be a top heel someday, right now, he is going to be a great challenger for guys like Reed, Grimes, Odyssey Jones, etc.
Provoke me
Samoa Joe quits so he can become part of the active roster again. William Regal signs on the dotted line, giving Joe what he wants, a match with Karrion Kross! I don’t know if it’s a one-off for Joe or if he is back doing in-ring performances for good.
Tee off
LA Knight and Grimes go golfing and its a real hoot. Gotta keep these guys together for as long as you can. Ted Dibiase shows up to give Grimes some advice. Grizzled Young Veterans get in on the action and they are also good in comedy spots, nice to see that multiple guys can do multiple things.
Carmelo Hayes vs Josh Briggs
Good match, strong fundamentals from both guys. When you go back to basics and they are strong, you’re going to have wrestlers with great matches that become stars. Duke Hudson joins commentary, he is another favorite of mine in this tournament. Hudson will likely lose the tournament but become a top heel in no time. I love Briggs’ selling, he has realistic movement to what he’s doing. Carmelo wins but we haven’t seen the last of Briggs.
The turn
It finally happened, Dakota Kai turned on Raquel Gonzalez! It was a promo that set it all up. We knew something was in the air, we knew it was coming, we just didn’t know when, where or how. Kai is going to win the title, a long awaited victory for someone who has worked hard for years, playing her roll no matter what, through injuries and everything; she deserves a good title run.
Frankie Monet & Jessie Kamea vs Kayden & Kacy
Robert Stone is a treasure, his indie act works so well. He loses the match for Monet and she is pissed after the match. I like that Monet took her first loss here. She makes others look sooo good. I’d love to see her and Bayley have a nice long feud with a series of matches someday. Kacyand Kayden really needed a big win too, I want to see them get the tag titles.
Cole vs Reed
Cole wins clean and Kyle is booed when he attacks Cole after the match. The match was fine but its not the real story here, why would they beat Reed clean when there was going to be an attack anyway? Cole is just like Balor, he is going to be over no matter what, that’s the same position Hangman Page should be in, I call it the Bullet Club Rub. Kyle shouldn’t be going up against Cole, he can’t get over on Cole; let’s find something else for him to do.

Hit Row speak to Legado in their own language. Later, Imperium beat Hit Row due to interference from Legado.

Mandy Rose is recruiting for something, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne are seen speaking with her backstage.
Final take
Keep it up! Tons of action and tons of story. This is definitely what NXT is all about and how it rose to glory. We are gonna have some new champions and some call ups soon so there will be changes and I am all for that.
