Double contract signing
Starting with something already in progress is fantastic. Raw just came on with Sasha, Bayley and Asuka all involved in a brawl in the middle of the ring. Things finally got settled and Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler joined the show for their part of the contract signing. Extreme Rules horror show, nice of Dolph to say that a few times so we could be reminded that there’s a Universal title match taking place in a swamp,…that’s a decent name I guess. Dolph delivers a good promo but Asuka had enough, cursing Ziggler out as she signed her contract. Sasha had a paint by numbers promo before things devolved into a brawl all over again
And now we have our main event.
Show and tell
Big Show was looking to squash beef with Randy Orton but found an issue with Garza and Andrade instead. Ric flair tells Show that Orton will fight on his terms. Zelina was super annoying but not in a good way at all. She is usually really good but she took away from commentary. The Vikings Raiders intervene and lose to Andrade and Garza after Andrade attempted to walk out of the match.
Royce vs Riott
Ruby Riott is confronted by Peyton Royce and Billie Kaye in a great backstage segment that played to the strengths of the talent, tons of personality from them that can carry any segment.
Lana approaches Ruby Riott, offering her services while campaigning for Natalya like she is a presidential candidate.
Dare I say peyton Royce looked great out there? She didn look like she was ready for Asuka but her twisting neck breaker finisher, named the Rolls Royce, is a smash hit. Ruby is a good at what she does, she can take losses before being built back up.
Forgive me, for I have stumped
Aleister and Humberto condemn Seth and his actions against the Mysterio family. An impromptu tag match breaks out between the two groups. Seth and Murphy win, finishing what they started. However, Humberto was the latest sacrifice, Rollins didn’t take his eye but he curb stomped him after putting a Rey Mysterio mask on him.
Black connection
By hook or by crook, MVP told Apollo there would be consequences for turning down his offer luckily. Cedrick Alexander and Ricochet were talking with the champ earlier backstage and have his back.
Crews defends himself on the mic but lost the match between him and MVP. Theatch may have been over but Lashley put him in a full Nelson so strong it took Cedrick and Ricochet to get him to break it.
Another impromptu match! Lashley vs Ricochet left Lashley leaking from the war as his cauliflower ear burst. Ricochet sold like mayonnaise at a Country Club as always, giving a valiant effort before succumbing to the full Nelson. Alexander got yoked up too as Samoa Joe shouted,” everybody pays”. Lashley looked like a monster and the string of segments told a pretty great story of what’s going on, making the midcard title just as important as the WWE Championship. It’s been a long time since the United States Championship was something everyone saw as prestigious.
Asuka [c] & Drew McIntyre [c] vs Dolph & Sasha Banks [c]
Normally, I hate these matches but Sasha and Asuka really didn’t hold back. They have plenty left for their showdown at Extreme Rules as well. Dolph and Drew McIntyre’s story ran in the background as the two ladies tore it up in the ring. Sasha Banks is quickly shooting up everyone’s power rankings.

Final take
A bunch of impromptu matches made this show feel like one long episode, what was the lineup before all the beef started? I don’t know if the plan was to make everything flow the way it did but I really enjoyed how different the show was.
