VIP Lounge with Dolph Ziggler

Finally, someone gave Dolph Ziggler some credit, even though it was all a work to get Drew McIntyre out. The segment ended with Ziggler catching a punch to the face but the real question is, will Dolph shock the world? Bobby Roode is still out there and on the Raw roster. Also, McIntyre has gotten the best of Dolph almost every week, is Extreme Rules where Dolph comes out on top?

Viking Raiders vs Angel Garza & Andrade

Zelina Vega is about as useless as Arn Anderson, she is all talk and her team racks up big time losses. Tonight was a different outcome for the duo and the Street Profits look like they may be in the path of Vega’s clients. I am still not into Andrade and Garza, I believe they would do better separately or at least going in a different creative direction, starting with new management. The Viking Raiders need to be on SmackDown for a change of scenery and to fill the void that the Forgotten Sons push has left.

bEST time to make a return

A backstage segment ends in Ruby Riott finding a tag partner in Bianca Belair. The EST is back and bEST the IIconics in one of the better tag matches from the duo since their return. Ruby’s personality really shines through so whenever they heat her up she’s going to be more than ready. To those saying that Belair shouldn’t be in a tag team or a meaningless feud, she needs to do something that doesn’t involve the Championship right now, when you heat her up for a title match she should win it. So she is just fine.

A spade is a spade

Tozawa and R Truth continue their beef but Shayna Baszler didn’t give a damn so she came out and cleaned up the ninjas and cleared the ring. Afterward, Shayna dropped a promo of things to come from her, she’s done playing around and waiting for things to happen; she is now the reality of what WILL happen.

Seth Rollins vs Kevin Owens

Before this match took place, Aleister Black beat Buddy Murphy in another on the long list of hard hitting matches they’ve had. Surrounded by the men he had done wrong, Seth Rollins is defeated by Kevin Owens. Rey Mysterio let’s Seth know that he’s going to pull his eye out as Rollins crawls away on the ramp.

R Truth vs Randy Orton

It was all just a plow to get to the Big Show. After a squash, Randy scurried out of the ring to avoid Big Show’s wrath. Ric Flair is doing a great job working with Orton and promoting the other talent in his segments. I feel like Flair is about to have his own stable very shortly.

Lashley vs Ricochet

Not a fan of Ricochet taking another loss from Lashley, Ricochet needs a win. Not sure if Ricochet is going to get a push or not but this storyline is the best thing he’s been involved in in quite some time. Cedrick Alexander should have been sacrificed to Lashley so that Ricochet could pick up a high profile victory on Lashley at Extreme Rules.

Kabuki Warriors vs Sasha [c] & Bayley [c]

The replayed tribute for Sasha and Bayley was a good way to kill time before their match and get a little more heat on them. It was spectacular match, very enjoyable. The finish was smooth but so was the entire match.

Honorable mentions

  1. Baszler and Belair return.

  2. Orton vignette followed by a promo.

Final take

Not a homerun for a go home show, it felt more like the Raw after a PPV because of the way it flowed. The show was still good, couple runs scored on a solid triple.
