Prophesy

Great work by the crowd chanting shame like it was Game of Thrones as he described what he did to Rey Mysterio. Seth has no regrets and blames the WWE Universe for what they did to him and for what he did to Rey.

Seth vs Aleister Black

Seth wins a fun match where he worked and then destroys the arm of Black, making him another sacrifice.

The hurt business

R Truth runs into MVP Backstage but the encounter was all a set-up by MVP so that Truth could lose his title to Shelton Benjamin.

MVP, Lashley and Shelton Benjamin go to the ring to poke fun at Ricochet and Cedrick Alexander for not having their friend Apollo on their team for their match. That’s when Mustafa Ali joins RAW as a surprise acquisition, replacing the absent Apollo. Really cool trio, some insane matches on the way. Where has this been for all of these months? We got glimpses of this when the pandemic first hit but nothing consistent. Mustafa Ali is a breath of fresh air and a shot in the arm to the roster and he was also triumphant in his return to RAW.

Ruby Riott vs Peyton Royce

Peyton Royce had a backstage altercation with Riott and Bianca, making for a very charismatic segment in which the true talent of these ladies poured out in every line, hand gestures and head movement. Riott wins a match for the first time since coming back and celebrated with emotion.

Street Profits [c] vs Andrade & Angel Garza

Street Profits win a very physical match. I honestly thought Andrade and Garza would have won this match to ensure their title match but I guess they are gonna have to get there another way. Montez Ford is going to have to get a United States title run in 2021 or that 180* Frog Splash is all for nothing.

Kairi Sane vs Bayley [c]

The Golden Role Models delight is with their presence only to be interrupted by both the Kabuki Warriors and Stephanie McMahon. Next week the RAW Women’s Championship will be claimed but this week Kairi Sane took the steam right out of Bayley in her last match. Kairi won with an elite level reversal of the Bayley to Belly.

Unsanctioned

Big Show vs Randy Orton

Christian spoke via satellite before the match, saying he didn’t recognize Flair and Orton anymore.

For a man who is very close to retirement, Big Show has still got it. Orton gave him all that he had but a steel chair was the great equalizer. It took two RKOs but Randy Orton finally put the giant down…then punted him.

Honorable mentions

  1. Dolph Ziggler begs for a rematch and tells Drew to name the stipulation.

Final take

A nice rebound from the Horror Show that was Extreme Rules booking. Lots of developing stories that are going to lead into what should be a great SummerSlam.
