In my veins
The champ returns and Claymore kicks Orton into next week. Excellent selling from Orton.
Keith Lee vs Randy Orton
Lee countered the RKO but still got one later in bcc the match and looked as if he was about to take a pinball from t hbk e Viper but Drew stuck around and delivers a second Claymore to Randy Orton, resulting in a disqualification. Drew catches Orton slipping backstage and Claymores him for a third time! Love the way they kept Drew going at Randy all night.
Business is about to pick up
Apollo, Ricochet & Alexander vs The Hurt Business
There is so much color on this show that you gotta love it. Apollo was worked the entire time, no one would let him make any tags. When Apollo did get to his corner, Cedrick Alexander took out Ricochet thengiave Apollo the Lumbar Check, officially joining the Hurt Business.
Back to business
The Hurt Business has its own music now, I dig it. Cedrick is introduced as the newest member on the VIP Lounge. The Viking Raiders back up Apollo and Ricochet as they break up the lounge party for some revenge. An 8 man tag between the two groups broke out after a scrum. Ivar threw up the X for himself, that’s how bad he was injured. They had to end that match because Ivar was hurt, Ricochet had no idea though, which is why the finish looked the way it did.
Street Profits [c] vs Angel Garza & Andrade
Garza has some great ring gear because he just wears normal clothes or it, its brilliant and makes him look above it all, like it’s all too easy for him. That’s exactly how Garza feels and we see it later on, Garza left Andrade hanging as they lose the match. The ref is a pro as Ford turned Andrade and he couldn’t make the count without turning with Ford. The celebration was short lived as Shinsuke and Cesaro crash the party to challenge the Profits to a champions vs champions match next week.
Peyton Royce vs Billie Kaye
WTF WWE doing? What was that entrance about with Peyton Royce? It was written all over their faces that they didn’t want to be in this spot. Royce won and they embraced, now fans have even more reason to hate all of this and most of what WWE does.
Asuka [c] & Mickie James vs Lana & Natalya
Asuka tags herself in and wins for her team. Natalya isn’t being used well in this feud at all, she can be so much more yet they haven’t pulled the trigger with her.
2 on 1
Wasn’t sure where they were going with this match but at least they didn’t bury Liv and Ruby. Shayna loses to Liv Morgan while Nia distracted her but most of this was just a backdrop. Retribution interrupts Nia’s match and finally speak, too bad the voices were muffled and they said some goofy mumbo jumbo that sounded like early Bray Wyatt.
RAW Underground
Owens vs Black
Black takes out someone before his match with Kevin Owens but the matches looked entirely too worked. The realest back body drop ever happened as they went to a break. As fake as it looked at times, somebody in the audience believed it so I guess it wasn’t that much of a work. Both men were taken out after they bumped into Dabba Kato and that’s how it ended.
Pinata
Murphy interrupts Charly’s interview with the Mysterio family to issue a warning and blame them for Seth cutting him off.
Dominik vs Murphy
Street Fight!
Smart babyfaces protect themselves and their family. Each member of the Mysterio family was armed with a London stick, as they should be.
The crowd is firmly behind Dominik and his push, how could they not be, he is solid in the ring, sells well and has a great story. Murphy quit as the family beat him with kendall sticks,
RAW literally went off with them still beating him. Dominik gets his first singles win in WWE.
Honorable mentions
R Truth 24/7 title fun
Final take
Lots of story being told, tons of interesting developments. The show seemed like it was natural and organic instead of planned segments. Lots of moving parts, they are gonna have to dumb things down for us more or spread the stories out over less segments.
