Heyman hustle

Paul Heyman tells how special Drew McIntyre is and list everyone else who was special before they entered the arena with Brock Lesnar. This promo from Heyman was on another level from the usual ones. Heyman just has a way with words that no one else does, he has done a superb job at hyping this match.

Asuka [c] vs Kayden Carter

Asuka has really been a bright spot in these empty arena shows. She’s come up and shown more personality than anyone on any roster. Kayden was squashed but it was an honorable squash, like the way Shawn Dean was squashed on AEW Dark. I enjoy the use of NXT talent to fill roster gaps, we get to see how wrestlers handle themselves and how the future may look.

Shayna’s gonna kill you

Finally, Becky gets choked out by Shayna Baszler.

Beck invokes the name of the Rowdy one. I am so glad Shayna attacked Becky. The problem with Becky is that she has become so good at what she does that the competition really isn’t there. Instead of Charlotte challenging for the NXT Championship it should be Becky moving to the black and yellow brand. Shayna will rip the title away from Becky and dominate just like her male counterpart Brock Lesnar. I don’t know what’s next for Becky after Shayna beats her twice.

Seth Rollins, Austin Theory & angel Garza vs Street Profits [c] & KO

We need more Zelina Vega please, she adds a lot when she is around, being a good manager is a lost art. Austin Theory being on Raw was a HUGE deal. This is a guy that many say will be pushed by Vince because of his prototypical look so being on the flagship brand is great exposure. Los Technicos win but KO suffered a Curb Stomp from his Wrestlemania opponent.

Dead man walking

I am a fan of this Undertaker, no games, he is a man, but he is also a badass. This whole feud has been a way to introduce the Undertaker to the audience as an actual person, not some wrestling gimmick. Many have hated the build, I am not one of them at all.

Best you’re gonna get considering the circumstances, all things considered it was a good go home show. I’m watching Wrestlemania, I always will because I love wrestling. I write about wrestling and follow it, not just because I’m compensated for it but because if you do something you love you’ll never work a day in your life. People are claiming they weren’t hyped about this year’s Wrestlemania even before everything happened, I call bullshit. If you wanna try and be cool and skip Wrestlemania because you think others aren’t watching it, go right ahead, I’ll be here after you’ve fastforwarded through the matches to play catch up and watch you shit on something you didn’t even pay attention to. I’m all in.
