It’s the “go home show” for SummerSlam, what will Raw do to get us more interested in one of it’s biggest shows of the year?

Raw doesn’t have to be great because SummerSlam is yet another a very solid card for WWE and NXT has a Takeover the day before. Becky Lynch and the ever- undeserving Roman Reigns are on the cover of 2K20, which is another big positive to ride for the entire week leading to the biggest show of the summer.

What I would like to see is some solid wrestling and some solid story telling as well however, I feel like this Raw is going to be phoned in more than usual.

The Club will continue their feud with Ricochet but what we need is a fantastic promo from Ricochet maybe coupled with a decent short match against Mojo Rawley or some other heel not used much.

I’m preparing to be underwhelmed with the cosmically boring Cinder Alexander (formerly Cedric Alexander, listen to Sporticus to find out why https://anchor.fm/sporticus/episodes/Push-Cinder-Alexander-e4rkh9 ). Drew McIntyre needs to utterly destroy Cinder Alexander at SummerSlam and it better not be on the pre show. Drew McIntyre is going backwards as Cinder is coming forward, just make Drew a big deal already, there was no reason for him to lose to Roman Reigns. Cedric, I mean Cinder, is definitely on the rise with this feud but really needs something different after SummerSlam; if he could elevate a mid card heel in-ring then we can start to flesh out his push with some promos and go from there.

Don’t know what’s planned for Becky and Nattie but let’s hope it’s not a face to face, I wanna see more video, taking an in&depth look into both women’s career, especially as submission wrestlers. I’m not sold on Nattie making Becky tap because Nattie has tapped way too many times in her career and recently to Ronda Rousey. This is why you gotta book your talent strong, the story they are trying to tell is kinda far fetched at the moment but perhaps they can sprinkle in some intrigue tonight.

There will be some sort of angle to get us to care about a tag team title match at SummerSlam but it’s pre show fodder at this point. Revival will probably ask for a rematch and be granted it; Usos will have something to say about that and be added to the match somehow.

I’m not sure that the “incident” on SmackDown involving Roman will be mentioned in Raw but if it is we won’t get any closer to knowing a damn thing until probably the end of SmackDown on Tuesday.

Dolph and Miz gotta do something to get their feud heated up further;not sure what can be done, kicking Shawn Michaels in the face was the payoff to this so everything else feels kinda boring.

Let’s hope Mike and Maria get some more TV time to see where they are gonna go with all of this. In the mean time, we’ll have an Alexa Bliss segment that goes nowhere and hides her inabilities in the ring. I don’t mind Alexa and Nikki, I just want there to be something more, perhaps some tag titles in the very near future.

Let’s not look to Raw for a ton of closure rather, let’s look at it as just something to do for 3 hours because it ain’t a damn thing else on TV except political shows or reality crap. “Monday Night Raw,better than politics and reality crap!”

Bottom line:

SummerSlam is a strong card and raw doesn’t need to do much so don’t look for much.
