In my veins Orron is a strong heel champion, in his promo he calls out everyone including the Fiend. McIntyre answers Orton’s challenges and saves a cash in attempt after he put Orton on his back with a Claymore out of nowhere.
Guitar on a pole Jeff Hardy vs Elias Hardy wins a pretty decent match that I wasn’t expecting to be as good. This was something you could put on a PPV. Jeff Hardy needs a run at the United States Championship asap. I think Hardy going for the title would help it maintain its prestige and keep it relevant with some good matches.
Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke vs Shayna Baszler [c] & Nia Jax [c] Rose and Brooke are so lame, I can’t take them seriously at all. I felt like they gonna win the titles so glad they didn’t. Lana cost them the match and Lana got put through a table as is the tradition.
R Truth [c] vs Bobby Lashley [c] Lashley made short work of Truth and Gulak catches some hands too and Lashley puts Gulak on top of truth making him the new 24/7 champ.
O captain my captain AJ Styles cuts a promo on being RAW team captain but his teammates have something to say about it. Adam Pearce makes the match Braun Strowman vs Keith Lee vs Sheamus and it was a PPV main event level. I’m mad it was on a regular RAW because they could have done even more on a PPV. A great match with great segments before and after with future feuds hanging in the balance.
Fire Fly Funhouse Alexa Bliss continues to shine in her new role with Bray Wyatt, spicing up both acts with her great acting and commitment to her new character. Lots of cursing in the Funhouse this episode.
They coming The Hurt Business want their payment for taking care of Retribution and that payment will come in the form of tag team gold. Bobby Lashley did work and is now in a suit; that’s black excellence. The New Day come out and are entertaining as usual but I wanna see them get serious against serious opponents. Kofi was in rare form though, too bad the ensuing match went in favor of the Hurt Business.
Ricochet vs Tucker The new look Tucker ain’t nothing to look at and is dealt with quickly by Ricochet. Ali comes out to dish out pain but it looks more like he’s recruiting. Retribution make Ricochet pay, I don’t think this is over.
2 on1 Not a fan of two top wrestlers losing in a handicap match where they have the advantage. Sure, Drew looks strong but Miz and Morrison look like chumps. Miz has to be elevated to a real threat. An RKO out of nowhere on Drew McIntyre is met with laughter from the Fiend as the show closes.
Honorable mentions
Garza promo
Nikki Cross tries to get through to Bliss
Lucha house party are actually speaking and in segments on RAW
Lana vs Nia goes as expected.
Final take The title picture is wide open with no clear challenger and it makes the show far more interesting than normal. This was a good RAW with good matches, that’s what we need, that’s what we want.
