The show starts with team Raw discussing their big victory over team SmackDown. The men try to share the spotlight when Braun loses it and assaults Adam Pearce. Pearce sets up a series of matches in the back to determine who faces Drew next.
Champs as usual
The Hurt Business have a run in with New Day backstage, this leads to a match and I’m definitely thinking there is gonna be a title change. A crazy long match with a great story. The division may be thin but the competitors are elite at what they do.
New Day win and as usual, it’s great to see black wrestlers shining so brightly. Black excellence. The question is, who’s next for the New Day.
Sheamus vs Riddle
Daaaaamn, this was a PPV main event! What a display of toughness by these guys, I am a fan of both but I’m even more impressed than usual. I thought Sheamus had Riddle beat, the Riddle got the 1,2,3. Riddle moves on to the triple threat match next week to determine Drew’s next opponent.
Funhouse
Friendship Frog enters the funhouse, a new character introduced out of nowhere. Alexa Bliss bashes his brains in. Alexa seems to be as out of her mind as Bray Wyatt and approaches her match with Nikki the same way.
Lana & Asuka [c] vs Shayna[c] & Nia[c]
The women’s tag team champs sat ringside for a championship match between Lana and Asuka but were really there to make Lana’s life hell.Lana saves Asuka from the tag champs and that means she has to be in a tag match with her. Lana continues to improve, doing much better than her husband is. Lana used to be a joke now her husband wrestles them on another network. Asuka rolls up Shayna for the win over the tag team champs and Lana gets the hell out of there before Nia puts her through another table. THE STREAK IS OVER!
Bobby Lashley [c] vs Keith Lee
Lashley was lacerated pretty badly in a very physical match between two absolute powerhouses. Two strong black men battling for supremacy without compromising their own badass nature or selling out. Black excellence. Keith Lee wins due to interference by MVP.
AJ Styles vs Randy Orton
We all knew something was going to happen, there’s no way a match like this would be clean. The Fiend cost Orton, even popping up next to him then disappearing. Makes sense that Orton is being pulled away from the title picture, it needs fresh blood, I’m hoping Riddle faces Drew and it is an absolute, oldschool-style war.
Honorable mentions
Riddle pitches ideas to MVP.
Bliss wins but Cross probably needed it more.
Final take
A wrestle-heavy show that set the bar for what other companies need to do and how their talent needs to perform. It was a very nice and welcomed change of pace to see some really good and long matches. A strong episode after a very strong PPV, this show is going to finish the year out very strong.
