I say we gotta be friends first
The Queen is back and already has top billing over the women’s champion, at least it was only for a moment. Charlotte and Asuka are friends now and apparently Asuka offered Charlotte a title match in exchange for joining her title match at TLC. It wasn’t actually said but that’s what Charlotte was about to say before Asuka came out. Nia and Shayna were ultra corny, speaking of corny, Mandy and Dana were the next group to interrupt with lame shit to say. As soon as Charlotte comes back they huddle all the women together to get in line and stand behind her… And for good damn reason, as “robotic ” as she may sound Charlotte is a billion times the star Mandy and Dana are.
Sexy Muscle friends
Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose vs Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler
Asuka and Charlotte join commentary and they actually sound like friends. They were both laughing, that was the first human moment Charlotte had in a long time. So much personality, Asuka was cracking Charlotte up, where the fuck has this Charlotte been? When it comes to the match, what the hell was Nia doing? Man there were some rough spots in this one. Not a good idea to put a subpar wrestler and a decent wrestler together, the results aren’t even mediocre. At least the finish was good. As far as the booking goes though, Dana has a couple victories on her own so a win here would have given this team some decent momentum. Shayna and Nia can afford another loss here and it would be totally fine.
Lounging
Get Benjamin off that mic, keep Alexander on full time. I once called the man Cinder block Alexander, I am so glad I underestimated him and look so foolish now. It really is cool to see this group excelling. R Truth with the photobomb, getting circus involved in the process. The 24/7 title on MVP is what I wanna see next, he could have WWE management change some rules and redesign it just as he did with the United States title.I like a segment so good that it can add comedy and still be serious.
Miz TV
Miz chews out AJ Styles then apologizes for not getting the job done. Kinda sincere with his promo but that wasn’t really the point of it. Sheamus, Keith Lee and Drew interrupt to put hands on them. Some miscommunication between Sheamus and Keith Lee plants seeds of descension.
TBar vs Ricochet
TBar won so I guess Ricochet will be joining Retribution soon. This storyline would be so much more worth it if it were Seth Rollins or Buddy Murphy or even Aleister Black than Ricochet. Unless Ricochet can pull out some phenomenal mic skills out of nowhere then Retribution is going to continue to be a joke.
The Hardy Bros vs Lashley [c] & MVP
The Hurt lock ain’t no joke and Hardy loses clean to it again. I’m not sure where things are going but next week’s booking is critical for Jeff Hardy. Riddle and Hardy are a good team and should serve as nice opponents for the Hurt Business and their titles.
Inferno fallout
Alexa shows up in Alexa’s playground to talk to Orton. We need to see her version of the Fiend now. I’m all for more Alexa in this roll but if it doesn’t translate in the ring it’s almost a waste. The characters are amazing though.
Asuka [c] & Charlotte [c] vs Peyton & Lacey Evans
Royce personality shining through in a brief interview and in the ring. So much better than the efforts of Dana and Mandy. Nia and Shayna look on from backstage, I hope they are impressed with Royce as well. Evan’s was alright but the star was Royce, give her a mic, a new gear and better gimmick then watch her go.
6 man street fight
Standard holiday hijinks. Nothing to write home about, the good guys win. Lee pins Miz and Sheamus Brogue kicks the shit out of Keith Lee immediately afterwards. That plot twist was worth the match.

Garza beats Gulak, the match was designed to show off Garza.
Final take
An alright show following a PPV, I wanted a little more but I was happy with what I got. Charlotte is a star and Royce has potential to be one so that a good takeaway from this show.
