You talk too much and you never shut up

Miz is biding his time until he is the most important man on Raw once again. The Miz is money, do not sleep on this man. His special guest Drew McIntyre wasn’t in a chatty mood.

Glasgow kiss to Miz pisses the A lister off so Miz cuts a promo letting everyone know he’s in control. Then he removes himself from the Elimination Chamber match.

6 man tag alert

Riddle & Lucha House Party vs the Hurt Business

Los Tecnicos win easily then Lashley beats them all up with the Hurt Business standing tall on the entrance ramp. We needed to see Keith Lee during this segment.

Charlotte & Asuka[c] vs Peyton & Lacey Evans

Asuka deserves better, I doubt she’ll get it while Charlotte is on the same roster. Peyton Royce certainly isn’t a focus. The focus was all on Lacey Evans who is now pregnant. What was all of this for anyway? If Royce had been built up properly she could take over for Evans in the feud but Raw is stuck in only building one star at a time.

Kofi vs Miz

Miz lobbies for Morrison to take his spot in the chamber which is brilliant but when New Day get wind of it they protest. Kofi wants the spot so Pearce makes Miz and Kofi settle it in the ring. Kofi wins and secures his spot in the Elimination Chamber where he can become a 2 time world champ. I hate that Kofi won but good for Kofi, it makes sense, hopefully Ali ruins it for him though. Kofi gets title opportunities even though he is nice cold, not a fan of that at all.

Shayna[c] vs Lana

Shayna wins but why even have the match? Lana needs wins not losses and Shayna needs credible competition if she is going to be in singles matches. They can all do better and they should, the material written for them isn’t good enough.

Gauntlet

Sheamus and Orton cut memorable promos throughout the show. The winner comes out last in the Chamber.

AJ and Kofi start things off, AJ beats Kofi with the Phenomenal Forearm after a hard fault match. Omos takes out Woods in a contrived spot. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is next, eliminates Styles but has a bit of trouble against Jeff Hardy but he eventually eats a Claymore. Orton is counted out via distraction from Alexa Bliss so it’s just Sheamus and Drew left. The Celtic Warrior attacks from behind which eventually leads to a victory. Drew didn’t get almost any of that brogue kick, it was so far off to the side, not a fan when wrestlers are afraid to take moves properly. Sheamus cuts another promo after winning.

Honorable mentions

  1. More Naomi and Lana, I’m not a fan when it comes to the wrestling part, outside of that they are a great team.

  2. Alexa has gone into full on Satan worshipping.

  3. Bad bunny and Mandy, he’s on SNL this week,Tozawa wins 24/7 title, Bad Bunny wins the title after a Damian Priest assist.

  4. Braun wants in on the Elimination Chamber match. Braun is mad at Shane because he made the Chamber announcements. Looks like we are getting Shane vs Braun at Wrestlemania.

Final take

Things were story driven but something was missing the first two hours. The gauntlets have been great the last few years; easy W. Elimination Chamber is going to be great, the last hour was filled with some top notch wrestling, the same we are gonna get at the PPV so I think the show did its job.
