Shane returns and helps announce the Elimination Chamber match, it will be;

Sheamus

The Miz

Jeff hardy

AJ Styles

Randy Orton

Drew McIntyre

I wanna see where this goes, I don’t understand half of the participants getting a title shot but I’m very curious.

Jeff Hardy vs AJ Styles

Not a classic but as solid as they come. Styles didn’t need a win here so of course they give him one. Jeff taps to the calf crusher. Jeff could have used a clean win, not Styles. WWE is not using their booking correctly, this trend will follow throughout the night.

New day vs Retribution

No point to it but New Day win the match. Retribution is pretty much ruined, they lose to everyone, can’t gain any momentum and absolutely no one and I mean NO ONE cares about them or what they have to say. The New Day aren’t doing anything, they aren’t even putting Retribution over so what’s the point of any of them right now?

Lacefront

Ric Flair does the talking for Lacey, a strong move and a smart one. The challenge to Asuka is made and the challenges don’t stop there, Charlotte confronts Lacey, challenging her to a match. Charlotte got disqualified but still isn’t tough, it’s like a weak Becky Lynch attempt, this does nothing for Evan’s either.

Edge of tomorrow

Edge meets Miz and his entourage. The promo from Edge is just the challenge both Miz and Edge need on the mic. We still don’t know who Edge is facing but it’s nice to see Miz get schooled on the mic, it’s been forever since that happened.

Garza vs Priest

Bad Bunny in Priest’s corner works really well, he knows the business. Jim Cornette hates it but it’s great booking for a celebrity. Garza loses when shenanigans surround the match as we knew they would.

Riddle vs Lee

MVP on commentary provides the necessary backdrop. Lee wins a hell of a match and shows respect for his NXT brother Matt Riddle. Lashley attacks Lee from behind and smashes him into the ground and puts Riddle in the Hurt Lock. Lashley is in a mood and will not stop until he has destroyed all of his competitors.

Shayna Baszler vs Naomi

What started as Lana vs Nia quickly turned into something else as Shayna attacked Lana after the tables match but was rescued by Naomi. Stupid loss for Baszler, Naomi isn’t close to good enough to deserve even a cheap win I understand the story they are telling but Naomi should be a jobber, a good jobber but a jobber. Same with Mandy and Dana, Dana can actually wrestle on a level that’s believable though so maybe not her if she got her character established.

Randy Orton vs Drew McIntyre(c)

Too soon to revisit this match, doesn’t matter how it ends. Good match though. Orton avoids the loss by Drew anticipating the interference from Sheamus and it ends in a disqualification when Sheamus misses McIntyre and hits Orton with a Brogue kick.

Honorable mentions

  1. Bad Bunny and Priest are a good combination.

  2. Lacey vs Asuka at Elimination Chamber

  3. Bianca comes face to face with Asuka.

  4. Lana beats Nia Jax in a tables match.

Final take

Raw is on autopilot which isn’t bad but it’s also not turning any heads. I like how Elimination Chamber is looking but I want for from a 3 hour show.
