No business like the Hurt Business
Lashley beats up the Hurt Business, after grilling them over their recent failures. MVP is upset and Lashley says there is no more Hurt Business.
Sheamus vs Riddle[c]
Sheamus picked up the win, he really needed it. I’m really surprised to see a win by a heel in this situation. Sheamus has now earned a spot on the card at Wrestlemania, challenging for the United States Championship.
Braun vs Ryker
This was always meant to be a quick one. Braun is done playing games so he let’s Shane know that their match will be inside a steel cage. We all know this match will be good, we just want a better build.
Hey hey, ho ho
Miz and Morrison debut their new music video slamming Bad Bunny. At first I was not amused but as time went on I realised that it wasn’t so bad. The segment and video was very long though. Bad Bunny and Damian Priest came out and Bad Bunny threw the best worked punch I’ve seen by anyone other than a professional wrestler.
Lashley[c] vs Benjamin
Yes, you read that correctly. After their confrontation earlier, Shelton Benjamin demanded a match with the All Mighty. Lashley won but Shelton did his thing out there.
Game on
New Day challenge their challengers to a round of party games. Great segment, killed time and furthered the story in a different way than most. New Day win the games and Styles vs Woods ends in a DQ. Omos speaks out about how they will destroy the New Day and I’m sold. A better build than some other programs, it seems like they just started.
Naomi vs Shayna[c]
Naomi wins in a fluky way in a shitty match, too quick. Naomi doesn’t have believable offense but Shayna made up for that, too bad Shayna had to get pinned again. The match was bad because it seemed thrown together and it had too many elements to it. Dana and Mandy were on commentary, it added some depth to the story but it just feels a bit rushed. I like their involvement, I just want it all to mean as much as possible.
Contract signing
Why did Asuka sell like she was killed? I like Rhea too but selling for several minutes is not the way to put her over. Ripley looks magnificent though. Nia and Shayna come out to state that they want a piece of Asuka but Rhea is the one that tells them to get in line.
Super Drew
Ricochet steps up to Drew after Drew calls out the locker room. Ricochet was an easy out so Mustafa Ali was next to step up and try and claim the Wrestlemania spot away from Drew. Drew took out both men then called out the champ.
Honorable mentions
MVP on commentary, filling in for Samoa Joe.
Fiend and Alexa have a message for Orton.
Final take
Lots of people didn’t like this episode but it was fine. Raw has been the number one show on cable for some time now.it is what it is. It had a central them and kept to it, Lashley and McIntyre are going to tear each other apart.
