Nikki Cross vs Charlotte

Rhea walks out as soon as the match starts and

Charlotte gets counted out while talking to Ripley. Of course Nikki got beat up by Charlotte because she wasn’t happy with the result but luckily Rhea Ripley saved Nikki with a Riptide.

John Morrison vs Jeff Hardy

The drip stick is used to get the advantage over Hardy. Morrison hit an impressive cartwheel clothesline, hits Starship Pain. Short match with two greats that could have done much much more, perhaps they are saving the good stuff for a PPV later.

Cedric Alexander came out to talk crap to Jeff Hardy so Jeff challenges him to a match and puts his career on the line…Jeff wins a quick match. Don’t know what the point of all that re6was but the feud needs to continue but get much more serious with more story being told.

Naomi vs Eva Marie

Eva comes out with Piper Niven and Niven destroys Naomi in impressive fashion. Of course there will be those that are upset with what happened to Naomi but the real story is Piper. Even Eva isn’t the story and it WAS about her. This is a great opportunity for WWE to be more diverse while greatly improving their women’s division on Raw. Niven just put everyone on notice because she is the real deal; a great worker who will improve everyone she works with while also thoroughly outshining them.

RK-Bro vs New Day

Riddle talks to Jeff Hardy backstage in a cool segment. I like that Randy Orton and Riddle have stories happening outside of the ring. An epic battle indeed; really good match from such good workers inside the ring. The way they build up the New Day to knock them down is some of the best booking in the company because they are always a threat, always strong, always credible yet they can take losses.

Asuka vs Rhea Ripley[c]

Much better than their other matches, Rhea wins clean. I love Charlotte’s wardrobe as she comes out to start a brawl. I really like the history between the two, it feels very authentic and stretches across more than just Raw. Charlotte does crazy really well, she has the same look as her father and its money if she uses it. She also wears a bloody nose well, make some money from this feud WWE.

Nia Jax vs Alexa Bliss

Alexa recaps at the top of the show when Nia confronts Alexa, challenging her to a match.

Match was ok, its served its purpose. Alexa was gonna win after hitting Twisted Bliss but Reginald picked her up, disqualifying Nia. Looks like Reggie is on Alexa’s shit list.

Drew McIntyre vs AJ Styles

I was thinking we were gonna get a classic but Lashley tried to get him some so it turned into something else. Viking Raiders got Drew’s back when it all goes down and the match was thrown out and it’s restarted as a 6 man tag. Drew pins Lashley, a good look for Drew, having the last laugh before they step foot inside the cell.

Honorable mentions

  1. Lashley needs more to do than celebrate with party girls. MVP tries to recruit Kofi again.

  2. The women’s tag Champs fight with Mandy & Dana.

  3. Elias and Ryker are still feuding but no one cares, especially with the matches not having any sort of proper ending.

Final take

The show was more of the same which has-been back but it does seem as if Raw has been in a holding pattern since giving Bobby Lashley the WWE title. Let’s hope Hell In A Cell is where things get a lot more interesting.
