AJ vs Ricochet

The first qualifier for Money In The Bank set the tone for performances. Ricochet pinned Styles to head to one of the biggest matches of his life and perhaps another shot at the WWE Championship. Ricochet won’t be winning but AJ Styles certainly didn’t need to be in the match.

Asuka & Naomi vs Eva Marie & Piper Niven

Backstage, Eva Marie doesn’t even let Doudrop say her real name in an interview. A bizarre match indeed. How is a tag team match able to qualify two people for a match that only one individual can win? Well this qualifying match went off the rails when Doudrop let Eva get pinned after not taking her shit. Happy for the quick turnaround on that story.

John Morrison vs Randy Orton

Morrison wins via distraction, shoulda just been a straight up W for Morrison but Miz is ringside being a distraction. Morrison would be a great MITB holder so I’ll be happy if he wins but its unlikely. Orton will get a second chance anyway.

Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax vs Nikki & Alexa

Strange bedfellows is a theme tonight. Alexa has new music and its about time, very appropriate

Nikki is now Ms. Stupid gimmick, she’s the new Molly Holly. Although I changed my mind half way through her promo it wasn’t because I was listening to what she was saying. I’m just gonna give it a chance because if I don’t I’d just be like every other miserable mark out there. The outfit aint that bad, at all, for a couple of reasons but not only that, her new super hero music slaps, sounds like down bottom from drag on and Swizz Beatz. Alexa and Nikki are going to MITB, how about that?

Drew McIntyre vs Matt Riddle

Riddle wins while Orton observes his protégé. Drew vs Riddle has to happen again, the two are willing to put their bodies on the line to put on a show.

2 nights of hell

Bobby Lashley celebrated but the New Day crashed the party. Kofi wants a title shot at MITB but first Woods challenges the champ to a hell in a cell match.

Lashley had his hands full and looked like he didn’t have enough left in the tank to take out the tag team specialist; then Bobby whooped his ass. The match and show ended with the champ choking out Woods as Kofi watched.

Honorable mentions

1. Charlotte and Rhea make a match for the title at MITB with the help of Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville.

2. The women’s Tag Team Champs still have beef with Dana and Mandy.

3. Final chance qualifying match next week.

Final take

MITB is heating up with some very interesting wrestlers qualifying already. The lineup for the show was set up pretty well from the beginning of the show, really helping the episode flow tonight. I was entertained with no dull moments, keep it up.
