Woods vs Lashley

I think I know where this is going but its just not doing it for me. Woods wins and Lashley is livid. This doesn’t make anyone look strong, it makes all parties involved look very weak. Omos beat the New Day by himself so how is Bobby Lashley having any trouble with these guys?

Alexa’s playground

Eva doesn’t like Alexa and that makes Alexa a babyface; we finally know which side Alexa is on. Sure, Shayna and Nia have been on her hit list but you never know what’s going on with wrestling these days.

Fatal 4 way

Asuka vs Nikki A.S.H. vs Naomi vs Alexa

Love Alexa’s new music; Alexa’s gimmick is something Impact would do, they have been very successful at similar gimmicks. Naomi got in some good offense, she has been doing a bit of that lately.

Eva and Doudrop show up to check out the competition then Doudrop takes out Alexa! Eva breaks kayfabe and calls Alexa Lexi while Nikki gets the clean pin on Asuka. Overall, the match was too rehearsed.

Ivar vs AJ & Erik vs Omos

AJ loses, his partner Omos ain’t pretty but he definitely gets the job done. The Raiders are jokes and I am not ready to have joke champions again. I’m ready for Orton and Riddle to get those titles and make them interesting.

Sheamus[c] vs Humberto

They did Humberto dirty, shoulda gave him a short US title reign like they gave Ricochet. Now Damian Priest is saving another one of his little buddies. It is likely that Priest will be the one to dethrone Sheamus. I’m okay with that but I’m not okay with the smaller wrestlers being treated as fodder.

Falls Count anywhere

A really cool match to end the Thunderdome era for Raw. I wanted to see Vince and Triple H be part of a flip or dive backstage though. Riddle makes a fool of Miz. I really felt this should have been the last match and segment on Raw. This match had everything you needed.

Rhea[c] vs Natalya[c]

Mandy and Dana were part of a backstage segment, not sure why because they haven’t done much but be annoying to the tag champs.

Rhea won a pretty good match with a legend and Charlotte had to come out and do some damage on that leg of Ripley’s.

Lounging

Lashley was mad at MVP and tore up the lounge, that’s it. A flat way to end a decent show. This teases a title change or breakup or something, something I may not like but we’ll see.

Honorable mentions

  1. Kofi didn’t have enough to do this episode.

Final take

Three hours is just too much even when the show is pretty good. SmackDown is killing it and its because the midcard is great, Raw needs to beef up midcard talent after Money in the Bank.
