Nature of the business Big Show, Flair, Christian and Shawn Michaels opened the show to celebrate the end of Randy Orton. They all call out Drew to celebrate with them when the Viper ensures they will regret their actions.

Clash of Champions rematch Zelina vs Asuka[c] Zelina looked good again tonight but she also lost. If she’s going to get big matches they should at least be spread apart. Vega is good and we know that but she hasn’t had enough matches for us to FEEL that.

Jerry “Springer” Lawler Seth causes drama and it leads to a match between Murphy and Dominik.

Lana & Natalya vs Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke Didn’t even know Dana Brooke was on RAW now. I thought Brooke was ready for a push on SmackDown, she certainly worked for it. Mandy Rose wore gear that paid homage to Trish Stratus but it looked terrible, it was an eyesore.

KO vs Aleister Black I love Black’s backstage promos, a homerun every time. New music and new look for Aleister Black, I have a feeling it’ll be more hurtful than helpful. I feel bad for Black not getting the win but the finish was good. Also, Aleister Black is still being retooled so I’ll wait before I judge his push.

Dominik vs Murphy Another great match from the rookie! Dominik gets the Kendo stick but Aliyah interferes and Dominik loses. Dominik had his first win all wrapped up but his little sister ruined it and Dominik had something to say about it because he didn’t appreciate her saving Murphy.

The Hurt business picks a fight The Hurt business have been throwing their weight around all night. They took a dude’s plate and it was hilarious. Lashley and Benjamin have been great, growing far more confident on the mic with MVP in their corner. Mustafa Ali Ricochet and Apollo take on the Hurt Business and take them down a peg with Mustafa Ali getting the pin on MVP. Finally the good guys get one over on the heels.

Roode returns Solid match a d work from a solid wrestler, Bobby Roode. I’m hoping he keeps going and gets a main event push. Drew looked somewhat vulnerable after his war with Orron and Roode was close to defeating the champ.

The janitor did it Orton disguised himself as a janitor to get access to the legends’ locker room and decimated them with a steel chair. It was a brilliant segment, Orton’s acting was superb, adding to the seriousness of everything, making Orton the top heel in the company once again.

Honorable mentions

  1. A decent triple threat for 24/7 title. Usually these matches are just throw away but this actually showcased how good these guys are.

  2. Andrade loses again.

  3. Fast EST, Bianca Belair vignette.

  4. No RAW Underground this week.

  5. No Retribution.

Final take I hope RAW Underground isn’t gone for good. I think the outbreak of COVID may have temporarily shut things down. The show needs a more solid direction. Things are fine but a shakeup is needed to keep them fresh. No Retribution makes sense but if there is now central focus when they return, the time off won’t matter.
