Undertaker tribute
At least it didn’t take up more than an hour. The usual great video package WWE gives it’s legends with some story sprinkled in. I expected a little more but not much more can be done in this pandemic era.
Baron Corbin vs Jeff Hardy
After trashing the legendary Undertaker, Jeff Hardy stepped in to teach Corbin some respect. The Babyface side of the locker room came out during the match to support Hardy and cheer him on after he beat Corbin in a pretty good match.
Nikki Cross vs Lacey Evans vs Alexa Bliss vs Dana Brooke
Dana Brooke looked pretty crisp in the ring while Lacey Evans showed off her improved skills. Alexa Bliss didn’t do too much and that’s about how it should be; she hit a few of her signature spots and that was it. Nikki will probably lose to Bayley once again. Prior to teaming with Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross had a title shot and a push, not sure why she didn’t get the title but it ended up turning out just fine.
New Day [c] & Lucha House Party vs Miz & Morrison and Cesaro & Shinsuke
When sick and tired of being sick and tired becomes a match. Cesaro and Shinsuke want the gold sucka. Lucha House Party looked like a million bucks. Miz & Morrison should still be champs but I’m admittedly biased against the New Day because they have been on top for so long without a continued revolution of their characters. With that said, the New Day is are great transitional champs. I just believe that a new team that hasn’t held the titles would be a better transitional team.
Story time with Braun
So Braun’s new entrance video is AWESOME! Didn’t really know what it was until Braun came out. The Strowman Express stuff was lame to me at first but I’m all in on it now. The stage has been set and after a brief story, the Universal Champion explains that the stage he wants he and Bray’s match to be is at the ole swamp. A champ calling his own shots is what I like to see, makes Braun look strong and fearless.
Honorable mentions
They got most of the talent on the show and it didn’t feel contrived at all.
Final take
The show was made up of multi-man matches and normally that’s a bad thing but these matches were good and furthered their storylines pretty well.
