Mystery guest

The RAW Women’s Champion joined A Moment of Bliss only for a fight to break out and for us to get Asuka and Nikki Cross vs Sasha and Bayley. We need more Asuka and Nikki Cross, the dancing was great for all the fanboys and the personality was bursting from the television. I still have no idea who’s going to win what because this match didn’t tip us off one way or the other.

Naomi vs Lacey Evans

I’m fine with the Lacey Evans heel turn, it was just so sudden that they could have gotten more out of it, very AEW of them to just rush a story in that way. Naomi lost but she isn’t hurt by it all because it was a distraction finish. Naomi needs a push and so does Evans but only one can legitimately challenge for the SmackDown Women’s Championship next.

Big E [c] vs Cesaro

Been looking forward to this singles match for a while. Two of the strongest men in the company and multiple time tag champs throwing each other around like children. The match was good but I’d like to see it more often. Not sure if Cesaro and Shinsuke will get the tag titles but after the match they decided they wanted to put the New Day through tables at Extreme Rules.

Swamped

Bray Wyatt has a message for Braun Strowman. Bray begins reminiscing on Braun’s past and predicting the future of their swamp match. This match has quite a bit of potential but only time will tell. Earlier, Braun ran through Morrison to gather some steam for his match.

AJ Styles [c] vs Matt Riddle

This may count as stealing one but AJ is still IC champ. There was a lot of good stuff here and Riddle is quickly proving to be the elite wrestler we thought he was. His natural ability is uncanny and his match quality is among the highest in the business. I’d put the title on Riddle on next month’s PPV.

Honorable mentions

  1. Sheamus attacks Jeff Hardy

Final take

I liked the opening to SmackDown, it was a different take on how the show typically opens. We heard from everyone and they told us what their part in the show was all about, it made the show flow pretty smoothly. Not a bad go home show.
