Truth revealed

Finally this terrible love triangle crap comes to and end as we find out that it was Sonya DeVille and Dolph Ziggler behind the mysterious text to Otis. This does add some interest in stories between these parties post Wrestlemania. We all know it’s Mustafa Ali behind the truth being exposed. Yucky actually came out of this looking the best because we got to see more of his personality and many doubt he had one prior to this angle.

Fiend’in for youuu

Bray Wyatt just can’t leave Cena alone. Cena still has jokes even with no one in attendance, admirable. Cena did appear to be a little over the top with his performance but Bray Wyatt AND the Fiend played their parts perfectly.

Daniel Bryan vs Shinsuke Nakamura

This is actually a dream match and they barely scratched the surface of what they are capable of. The way Sami Zayn masked his appreciation of the match was really creative, passing off his admiration and respect as over the top shock and surprise.

Naomi vs Lacey Evans vs Tamina

Sasha got involved and got laid out while Bayley stood by and watched. Tamina won but that was a very mild boost, I’m not believing any of it. Tamina did look ok though so you never know, I wouldn’t mind if they put the belt on Tamina and built her up. Obviously Vince isn’t as high on Lacey as before because her push has slowed considerably. Naomi has made a return but not much of one, she stands even with the pack as her push is halted and she is inserted into a multi woman match. I’m hoping the belt changes hands because Bayley is not doing it for me as champ.

Honorable mentions

  1. The tag team division is brimming with competition as Miz and Morrison hold the belts high above their Wrestlemania opponents.

Final take

I wish that Raw came on on Fridays because it is the better show and therefore would be better for building a PPV. SmackDown was good, there was build and payoffs, good matches etc. just not quite Wrestlemania worthy. With that said, I am looking forward to the matches so WWE has done a good job building to the biggest show of the year.
