Seat at the table

More superb acting from Reigns and Jey. This is what wrestling stories are supposed to look like and how deep they should go. Roman gave Jey to the end of the show to show him the proper respect but all Jey Uso could do was channel his hate for him.

Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler

Good match, good work, can’t say enough good things about the talent these two men have

Owen’s wins and will represent SmackDown at Survivor Series. K O is due for a push after the brand split is established and Ziggler needs to find something to do as well, besides playing tag team with Bobby Roode

Natalya vs Bianca vs Peyton

Three women from RAW fight to be on team SmackDown, terrible writing. The sharpshooter was treated like shit, no way anyone should be in it that long and not tap unless it’s a PPV and the title is on the line. We all knew Bianca Belair was going to win, we didn’t know Billie Kay would be used as well as she was. The division needs to be elevated, having good matches with Natalya will definitely help with that but Bayley and Sasha have to do their job as well, it’s time they led this division properly.

Love is a battlefield

Murphy apologized to the Mysterio family but it was not enough and they whooped his ass anyway. That is until Aalyah Mysterio stepped in and proclaimed hee love for Murphy. She is 19 years old so it’s fine people, nothing illegal or immoral about it. If she can choose who can lead the country, drive a car, attend college etc., she can choose who she wants to be with. I really hope this leads to Dominik joining Seth Rollins or I feel like this is all wasted.

Street Profits [c] vs Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura

Cesaro is a freak! Street Profits win but Nakamura and Cesaro always make it close. They have been very consistent as a tag team I’m terms of their body of work. Too bad they aren’t champs but at least the champs are really good themselves.

Jey Uso vs Daniel Bryan

Things went about the way you would expect, Daniel Bryan whooped on Jey for most of the match. Jey was clearly distracted by the choice before him to join Reigns or not to join him. Jey answered that question by decimating Bryan after the match. At least Jey did win the match and will represent SmackDown at Survivor Series.

Boss time

Sasha had a lot to say to and about Bayley which is why Bayley came out to declare that she will be facing Sasha next week because she couldn’t beat Asuka at Survivor Series. Bayley really brought it but Sasha was a little stale.

Final take

We need just a little more Reigns, just a half segment more to really add some depth to his character. Jey has to be world champion at some point in his career, he’s too good not to be. If Roman were injured, I could see that happening. Best story in all of wrestling right now. Sasha and Bayley have been great but I am afraid that once they move on from each other that they won’t be nearly as interesting. Once things settle this will be the best show in wrestling.
