Jey Uso vs Shinsuke Nakamura
That new camera effect was absolutely magnificent, do more of that shit! Jey gets hype for his entrances and everything else he does. The promo was great!
Nakamura dominated as expected, then Cesaro came out to support his friend on commentary. Shinsuke wins clean and Cesaro raises his friend’s hand in victory. They are setting up a feud between the tag team and its gonna be epic. Cesaro will become jealous and ruin the friendship over it. Jey Uso threatens the ref backstage, sounds like matches will start to be fixed.
Natalya vs Liv Morgan
New gear makes Natalya look great, the same ole opponents make her look slow. Liv Morgan loses to Natalya whom she was desperately trying to beat back when they were on Raw; why have Liv lose again? Billie provides the distraction that Natalya took advantage of and that’s just lazy booking. I don’t know what’s going on with this group but Billie is stealing the show. The match looked too choreographed but at least the choreography was cool. As expected, shenanigans cause Liv to lose and there was no point to it either than to tell that tired old story of the bumbling idiot friend that tries to fit in.
Ding Dong
Guess who has a new show? Bayley looked amazing and she was just joking around, she seemed to be the most comfortable she had ever been in any wrestling setting. Special guest Bianca Belair was quite a amused when Bayley suggested they compete in an obstacle course. This is how you do corny, they both had so much fun together.
Cesaro vs Daniel Bryan
Cesaro confronts Daniel Bryan during a backstage interview earlier in the day and that’s how the match came about. Good to see Otis and Chad Gable involved in something. Cesaro goes over clean in a straight up battle, fast paced action, the commercial break didn’t stop the momentum at all. This is exactly what Cesaro needs.
Apollo vs Sami Zayn
Apollo gets the special camera effect like Jey Uso did earlier and started off red hot. Big E was ringside on a couch with a mini fridge. Graves was great during this match while talking to Big E. A handful of tights is the way he won but Apollo was the victor. Big E has a big mouth and that can be a driving force to field some good feuds during his Intercontinental run.
Heyman hustle
Heyman presents the case to Pearce that he should accept the match at the Royal Rumble while complimenting Sonya Deville. No DQ means Roman will make an example of Pearce but it was presented as a golden opportunity.
Roman Reigns talks with Apollo, an excellent move by everyone involved. Roman tells Paul to make Adam Pearce sign a new contract that makes the match a last man standing match.
Adam Pearce gets one over on Roman Reigns and inserts Kevin Owens in the match via contract loophole. So happy that the babyfaces look smart instead of being total idiots .
Honorable mentions
Street Profits promo with Kayla Braxton.
Baron Corbin beats Rey.
Kayla interviews Carmella and Sasha Banks interrupts and challenges Reginald to a match.
Final take
The show keeps rolling with fresh matchups and signature wins. New feuds are on the horizon with the Royal Rumble coming up, theres no telling what is planned but we know its building up to something unforgettable.
