SmackDown Quick Takes 11/6/20

Sasha [c] vs Bayley

Great way to open the show with another classic match between Sasha and Bayley, it never really gets old either. Sasha retained of course then Carmella ambushed Banks wearing all red. I like the gimmick and its who Carmella should be, it’s not over the top it’s just right.

Rey Mysterio vs Baron Corbin

Rey was not prepared but still took it to Corbin. Corbin is great in matches against luchas, he needs to be in kore feuds that favor him, Sami vs Corbin was a great feud once upon a time. Seth looks on and attacks Dominik to keep Rey from winning AND Buddy and Aalyah distraction leads to Rey’s loss.

Otis vs Seth Rollins

Match was okay but lots of things were going on, this match shouldn’t have been a backdrop to side stories. Murphy helps Rollins a bit and backstage Rollins thinks Murphy is back on his side but Murphy assures Aalyah that he knows what he’s doing and tells her to trust him. Not sure where this is going but I’m over it. Hopefully Dominik turns on his family, other than that, this ain’t worth it.

Jey Uso vs Kevin Owens

Jey USO continues to make believers out of every one of us. Owen’s would be a great feud to continue, I hope they make them enemies so that Jey can keep getting over as a top talent. Roman is doing the lord’s work. Keep Romam where he is but make sure he gets to a pretty dark place or else he won’t get the right type of heat.

Final take

Good matches with good stories, that’s all we want and that’s what SmackDown continues to deliver. Really solid matches as well, the wrestling on this show is at a very high level.
