Special announcement
Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman think that they have all of the answers however, Adam Pearce will not be pushed around. After confronting Reigns Pearce scrambles with Sonya to make matches happen and make sure things are in order for Elimination Chamber. Reigns gets more heat on him, I like it. Although he has to compete at Elimination Chamber he is doing it in his own diva way.
Corbin & Zayn vs Los Mysterios
It would have been interesting to see father and son in a title match. I think WWE should have pulled the trigger on that. Instead we get 2 guys that we know won’t win the Elimination Chamber match. Corbin needs to get serious and be the badass he was in NXT. Sami Zayn needs to do the same and join Kevin Owens so they can get the tag titles someday. The match was fine, just a shame we already knew the outcome.
Shinsuke vs Big E[c]
Apollo Crews had much to say about why he should be Big E’s challenger but none of it mattered. Shinsuke was doing well for himself until Crews drop kicked Big E. Apollo has a problem with Big E that won’t go away easilY or on it’s own. I wonder what match this will all culminate in.
He’s coming back, like he said he would
Seth is now the Architect, the messiah and he has his old music back with the burn it down effect. Glad the locker room was out there to hear him speak, made him feel like a big deal being back
Loved everyone walking out on him like they did on Raw. Cesaro the last to leave and the only one attacked by madman Seth. Daniel Bryan makes the save.
Bayley vs Liv Morgan
Bayley rakes the eyes
Ruby is wasted
Kaye steals the show
…
That’s it, those were my notes from this. Liv Morgan looks good in the ring but she has been progressing extremely well so that’s nothing new.
Street Profits vs Gable & Otis
I guess that’s a big win for the Street Profits? Not a fan of them at the moment, they are a little too obnoxious. Otis and Gable need more segments, more meaningful things to do to further their story. Gable vs Otis is going to be great but first, Otis and Gable have to be great.
More ham and cheese
Sasha is having so much fun and on top of the wrestling world right now. She danced with the Street Profits on her way out, she is just a joy to watch as champion. Belair had words for the Boss but Nia and Shayna wanted some action and respect. The segment was more lame crap that’s just a placeholder for any real dialogue between champ and challenger. There doesn’t have to be a heel in this story but there does have to be more story, this has no meat to it. Bianca and Sasha being the title picture is something we better see more than just this one time, they also need to be in proper roles (heel vs face).
Roode-Dolph vs Bryan & Cesaro
We knew who would win this match as well so it took a lot of the excitement away. Zayn and Corbin look on from outside the ring to see who they will be competing against in the chamber. Bryan and Cesaro win causing Corbinand Zayn to rush in. Jey uso attacks with a chair while Owes cleans house and Roman looks onward from his chair in the back as KO sats in the middle of the ring calling out the Universal champ.
Honorable mentions
Jey USO, Kevin Owen’s, Bryan, Cesaro, Corbin and Sami Zayn are in the chamber for SmackDown, winner gets a title shot against Roman the same night.
Final take
I am loving the main event picture. The IC title is also important, with an established champion and fued. The show is getting better and better, now all it needs is some more tag teams.
