The new head of the table?

Jey Uso introduces Roman Reigns while Jimmy challenges Cesaro after being tricked by Roman to try and fill his shoes. Reigns cut a great promo while Jimmy easily cut one back.

Historic

Heavy foreshadowing from the second we saw Natalya and Tamina. The match was good, not PPV level, they needed even more time to work but certainly not bad. All the work that they both put in over the years and all the work they’ve done lately deserves to be rewarded. Finally Shayna and Nia can move on from each other after they

You the real MVP

Apollo presents Azeez with the Nigerian Medal of Honor. Big E interrupts from the big screen but Sami Zayn butts in. If you thought Sami was getting the last word then you must have forgotten about Kevin Owen’s. Big E found himself on the wrong end of a super kick when an all out brawl broke out but Commander Azeez stay earning that medal.

EST time

The champ came out to talk about her match this Sunday with Bayley. Wasn’t impressed with the promo but Bianca is still finding her roll on the show right now, she hasn’t competed regularly since winning the title. The very first serious promo from Bayley as a heel. She delivered that last little bit with the passion of a super star.

War of kings

Shinsuke vs Corbin

The match was just ok and Corbin won but the big takeaway is Shinsuke getting his revenge post match. Shinsuke may have lost but heavy is the head that wears the crown and Shinsuke takes the crown from King Corbin. Lets see where this goes, could be great.

Cesaro vs Jimmy Uso

The match ends in shenanigans when Reigns puts hands on Cesaro. Cesaro almost takes out the bloodline again but Roman gets to the ramp, being held back by Heyman. Cesaro beats down Jey Uso with two Neutralizers. Cesaro may very well beat Roman at SummerSlam if the feud last that long, which I’m sure it can.

1. They didn’t spray paint Kayla like weeks before.

Final take

There were good moments in the show but the main story is what drives the show. The IC title picture looks good but I want more side feuds with non champs in the mix with each other. SmackDown needs solid performers in side feuds to round out the show like Nakamura and Corbin.
