Wow! What the hell happened there? I think we are all stunned. I thought it was a decent show, normally it sucks so bad I can’t stand watching it. The mighty have fallen. It seems that the loyal 150K have chosen to watch NXT over AEW… at least for one week. I thought that AEW was pretty decent, a least a double, not the homerun it needed to be for a go home show for a “PPV”. I know so many that have grown disinterested in the product and it may be a sign of the new car smell wearing off.

We are gonna do this a little differently:

Tag division

AEW

The Lucha Bros make a very lackluster return and the Revolt bore me to tears now. You’re damn right I read the revival because they put me to sleep. The Lucha Bros were supposed to have a feud with Proud and Powerful but that never happened and Proud and Powerful were booked like crap. P&P are 50/50 booking at its finest. Santana can’t even beat Matt Hardy. Janela and Sonny Kiss has a cool vignette and it is all undone with a loss that immediately followed the impressive video.

NXT

NXT is great.

Women’s division

AEW

When your champion looks silly two weeks in a row, they won’t look strong going into a title match. A squash is too little too late to get me to care about this division’s future. Is there anyone else who is going to challenge Shida because it’s a pretty thin field. Looks like someone will have to rise up quickly, meaning even more 50/50 booking from this company.

NXT

NXT is great.

Secondary title

AEW

Cody gives another promo where he is fake humble but actually full of himself. Hager comes off looking like the babyface for not sitting through one of Cody’s speeches.

Final take

Every time I think AEW had a good show, they do poorly in the ratings. The fans are so fraudulent it is criminal. Great win for nct and we’ll deserved, let’s hope this becomes the new norm for a bit.
