By the numbers:

AEW: 886K

NXT: 689K

After having success not going head to head both shows see their numbers dip kinda significantly. However, both shows ranked higher with AEW coming in at number 3 and nxt coming in at number 31 among the top 50 shows. That’s a significant improvement for both and both had solid shows as well. There is almost zero benefit to this war. AEW needs to show that they aren’t relying on NXT and NXT needs to prove they are better than the new kids on the block. WWE and Vince are out of their minds if they continue to stay on Wednesday nights. The fans have spoken and they like both shows, one show is newer with some different stuff going on, doesn’t mean they’re better. NXT doesn’t get the big numbers but it doesn’t mean they aren’t better than their competitors.

Final take

We are all over the war, the demons and all of that nonsense, let’s just enjoy wrestling. Mostly lames say that but its true. Aew is going to enjoy whatever success they are having and there is nothing WWE can do about it. AEW still isn’t out of the woods, it is a marathon, not a sprint there’s much more that will happen to determine AEW’s future.
