Kickoff show

Natalya vs Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan wins and socks Natalya who had the upperhand for a vast majority of the match. This could be the start of a decent push for Morgan but I doubt it’ll be more than a few matches with Natalya.

Rhea Ripley [c] vs Charlotte Flair

First match of the night was the battle we thought it would be. Rhea Ripley gave Charlotte all she could handle but the damage Ripley suffered to her leg throughout the match proved to be her undoing.

Charlotte is now an 11 time champion in one hell of a story, I am ok with this, Rhea didn’t have the pedigree nor did she have the insight of what a veteran like Charlotte was actually capable of. Now where does this leave Charlotte, is she in NXT or on Raw?

Lashley vs Aleister Black

A delight of a match, fast paced slobber knocker!

Aleister Black wins Lashley takes Lana’s advice and goes for a spear when he already had the match won. The seeds of distrust have been sown. I really liked Lashley’s new look and I was surprised at the chemistry with Lashley being so big but their MMA backgrounds proved to be quite the winning combination.

Otis vs Dolph

The realest low blow ever happened to Otis. On the replay you can clearly see that Dolph hit a bullseye. Mandy Rose comes down and attacks Sonya DeVille, helping Otis win when she hit Dolph with a low blow. Sonya DeVille and Dolph make a really cool pairing, this may be what they both needed. Mandy Rose and Otis look cool together too.

Edge vs Orton

Loooong match, overbooked but still did its job surprisingly well. Edge wins with a conchairto after stopping the ref from counting to ten. Lots of criticism from party’s that shall remain nameless about this match. It went on too long and could have benefited from different locations but no one said anything when Jericho did a walk and brawl with Kenny in Japan…

Street Profits [c] vs Angel Garza & Austin Theory

Profits

The Profits retain but the big story is their post match beatdown being interrupted by Bianca Belair. The match should have been on the preshow or the Raw after Wrestlemania to be more effective. Austin Theory may just skip the gold and black brand altogether at this point while Angel Garza needs to be awarded the United States Championship.

Fatal 5 way

Bayley retains in a match that I wish had taken place as the main event of SmackDown. Lacey Evans and Bayley had a good match once everyone else was eliminated but the seeds of distrust were down once again, this time between Sasha and Bayley.

Firefly funhouse

Not much to say about how great this all really was. The comparisons to Hogan and all of Cena’s past failures really help me realize how talented both men really are. This is a must watch when it comes to all time memorable matches.

Aaaaaannnd NEEEW!

It was all Claymores and F5s but Drew McIntyre finally realized his dream to be the king of the mountain. Drew thanked the fans in only the way he can while raising the title high above his head while Brock played dead in the background. McIntyre is now on a short list of men that have beaten Brock Lesnar clean. When crowds are allowed in the arenas again, Drew will receive a hero’s welcome.

Honorable mentions

  1. Gronk wins the 24/7 title while Titus O’ Neil host the rest of Wrestlemania.

Final take

The second night was not as good as the first but it still delivered overall. We got something different, something new, something we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.
