Bobby Lashley[c] vs Drew McIntyre

Drew finally got his moment and it was grand, making the crowd wait even longer made it even sweeter. Lashley defends his title successfully. The crowd loved it. Drew winning would have been cool too but Lashley deserves a lengthy reign. The match was well received and exactly what was needed for such a special night.

Tag team turmoil

Lana & Naomi vs Carmela & Billie Kay start the match. Lana and Naomi are eliminated first which shocked the hell out of me because I thought they were going to win. Riot Squad were next, eliminating Billie and Carmela. Mandy and Dana are next. Mandy slips on the ramp because Dana won’t slow the fuck down and it had been raining. Mandy and Dana look great in the ring and look like they might win it all. Tamina and Natalya are next and shatter that theory. Natalya and Tamina absolutely need the tag team titles, if they lose then what was the whole point? Natalya will add to her accolades on night 2 if you ask me.

Seth vs Cesaro

New remixed music for Seth sounds great and the gear is great as usual. Seth is one of the best at putting talent over. Cesaro needed this win, Seth is going to be putting guys over for a while until he needs to be heated up. Cesaro wins in a very impressive match; a definite crowd pleaser.

New Day[c] vs Omos & Styles

Another great story. The New Day didn’t want any parts of Omos and when we got in we certainly saw why. Omos is straight up unstoppable, Kofi and Xavier Woods sold like never before. Well it was easy to see that we were going to get new champs; now AJ Styles is the newest grand slam champion.

Shane vs Braun

Steel Cage

Elias and Ryker attack Braun with chairs just before he enters the cage, Braun got a big pop. The match wasnt very long but it was just long enough to get the most out of it. Shane took a big bump off of the cage and it looked like it hurt way more than anything he had done in the past. Braun went over, as expected, tore up part of the cage as well; all is right with the world.

Bad Bunny & Damian Priest vs Miz & Morrison

Didn’t like Miz and Morrison with the Bunnies but I kinda understand the kayfabe live performance aspect of it. That being said, this match was possibly the best on the card and that is saying a whole hell of a lot. Bad Bunny is undeniably the best celebrity wrestler ever. I know what you’re thinking, Pat McAfee is the best. Pat McAfee is a former NFL player so he was going to do well regardless, Bad Bunny doesn’t have a professional sports background. Bad Bunny gets the pin, deservedly so.

Sasha Banks[c] vs Bianca Belair

History was made. Bianca and Sasha could barely contain themselves. I truly believe that Sasha Banks is the exact female superstar that Vince had been looking for his entire career. People say that his type is tall blondes with big boobs but I think its strong business savvy women who know what they want and how to get it.

Honorable mentions

  1. NWO, Bayley and Titus have a backstage segment.

  2. Mandy slipped and it’s all good.

  3. We all know who Bebe Rexha is and we are now all fans.

  4. 2020 HOF.

Final take

Come hell or high water, the show must go on. Make no mistake about it this was a top 5 Wrestlemania of all time. There were moments all over the place and the performances were incredible by EVERYONE.
