Rhea Ripley[c] vs Asuka vs Charlotte

This is how you start a damn PPV! This felt like a big match, I wasn’t sure if it would be good but it delivered. Rhea Riplet pins Asuka and dashes the Hope’s and dreams of Charlotte. There is no one currently on Ripley’s level, I’m not sure who her next opponent will be.

The Dirty Dogs vs Los Mysterios

Ziggler and Roode took out Dominik before the match, then beat Rey Mysterio’s ass in the match. Rey was beat down for the entire match until his son returned. The match was great, incredible story told. Wwe has now crowned its first father and son tag champs. Ziggler and Roode really did a phenomenal job in this match, two of the best workers in the entire industry.

Zombiejacks

Miz vs Priest

Well, this caused a firestorm of criticism online immediately. John Morrison got lumberjacks for the match but they turned out to be zombies, he was killed by them later in the match. Damian Priest fought off several zombies then continued their match. Damian Priest won and the Miz was presumably eaten alive. If the Walking Dead faked us on with the Glen death then the Miz may very well be alive. I enjoyed the match and would like to see an entire episode of Raw filled to the brim with zombies.

Bayley vs Bianca Belair[c]

Cool first title defense by Bianca. Bayley cut so many corners as a heel, really shows how she has evolved as a character. The match itself left quite a bit on the table, felt like they didn’t do too much but certainly got enough out of their match. I think this feud will continue because I don’t see a co gender linked up right now.

Braun vs Drew vs Bobby[c]

Big men, big spots, big match feel. Drew looked like a badass while Braun and Bobby looked mortal. I’m a little tired of the way Drew McIntyre is booked. He was booked a little better when he was heel facing Seth Rollins. Bobby retained, we saw that coming a mile away but the way he retained was weak. Sure it was smart for Bobby to let Drew do all the work but let Lashley go over Braun clean at least.

Roman Reigns vs Cesaro

Good story, not a lot to the actual match in terms of offense but Reigns worked the arm of Cesaro.

Cesaro selling being out cold and then coming to swinging is great. There is so much more to do with these two. Jey Uso wanted a piece of Cesaro but he wasn’t the only one, Seth Rollins got a piece too. Looks like Rollins has some unfinished business, great way to get heat on Seth and get a ton of sympathy on Cesaro.

Final take

Overall it was a good PPV. The online community will freak out over the zombies but everything else was solid, especially the opening match. Raw will do high numbers and continue its Monday night dominance.
