Bobby Fish vs Velveteen Dream

Although the match was fine, I expected the match to be a little better. It was a long match but good to put the Dream in a prominent match at the beginning of the show. The Dream went over and drank in the moment.

Dexter Lumis vs Jake Atlas

Interesting that Dexter Lumis is back because he comes across a lot like Killer Kross to me so having Lumis reappear now seems problematic for these two characters to occupy the same space. Unless of course, the two team together or feud with each other. Lumis has a great character that I think could have a permanent spot on any roster without ever needing a title.

Last chance gauntlet

You gotta love Shotzi. Sure, the wrestling was not the best, neither was the competition. The other wrestlers involved did ok, things could have been worse. When Dakota Kai entered into the gauntlet as the last competitor, we saw how a veteran wrestler was able to step it up and compete at a level that Shotzi could display what she’s capable of.

Joaquin Wilde vs Kushida

Masked men kidnap Wilde after his disappointing loss, I am starting to think that this is a knock on the Dark Order but it’s too early to tell. Kushida should go to NXT UK and win the Cruiserweight Championship from Jordan Devlin, Kushida needs some gold and he needs to be featured much more than he is.

North American triple threat

I liked the tale of the tape stat thing they did,it added a pretty cool sports like feel to the whole thing. There are bound to be some blown spots when each competitor of a triple threat is at least 250lbs. Keith Lee retained after a nightstick was introduced by Damian Priest. I enjoyed the match, I think Damian Priest will win the title next and Keith Lee and Dijak are moving to SmackDown after Wrestlemania.

Final take

Sam Roberts was good at times and others he didn’t fit at all but I do appreciate the different looks they are giving the audience on commentary. There are little things with the show that are experimentation driven that just may work out when they are polished. NXT is still putting on a great wrestling product despite what’s going on the world today.
