Mandy Rose vs Ember Moon

I can already see Twitter losing their minds over this booking. Mandy Rose beat a better wrestler, Rose is decent now so it’s ok. Why wasn’t Mandy working like this on the main roster? The crowd certainly likes Rose.

Later in the show, Raquel Gonzalez hits the ring pissed. Toxic attraction is Gunning for the top, they want Raquel’s title and the tag titles. Io and Toni make the save, two beatdowns in a row is kinda lame anyway. Raquel has to be going to the main roster soon, she has EVERYTHING. So do Io and Starks if we are going there. Those titles are going to new homes soon. Starks has no future as a babyface.

End of an era and the beginning of a new one

Escobar wants the title from Swerve and Swerve responds. I’m going to miss this rivalry. I thought we were going to get War Games but I guess we will have to just make up some other 4 person group to do it. B Fab isn’t ready for the main roster so I’m not sure what is gonna happen with her. Maybe Naomi replaces her, if that happens then I wanna see B Fab in the Bloodline; make it work. I’m assuming Santos wins the North American Championship and holds down the midcard with the most underrated faction in wrestling.

Ikemen Jiro vs Joe Gacy

Gacy had a vignette before the match, he I getting heat in the real world so everything is going according to plan. He is giving me Bray Wyatt vibes or Right to Censor meets Kevin Owens. I liked this match, I’m not sold on the finisher yet but Gacy has potential. Jiro is probably a favorite of Vince already, he can work and he can entertain. Parker Bordeaux stares at Gacy from the crowd after the win.

Jaded

Frankie Monet takes out Cora Jade’s opponent then demands to face Cora Jade. Frankie cleaned house and was upset by the plucky upstart beating her with what was clearly a fluke pin. I would move Frankie up to the main roster as soon as possible. Maybe Monet is the next NXT Women’s Champion and she is going to have a lengthy run, I don’t know.

Dunne vs Grimes

Grimes is looking for a lady but Pete Dunne gives zero fucks about that, claiming he is still the baddest man in NXT. You already know the match was good but was the ending decent? A distraction finish; KOR attacks Holland outside and Dunne takes advantage. Von Wagner makes the save on KOR after the match. I smell a betrayal.

Tony D’Angelo debut

Good debut, not necessarily impressive but we see that he can do the basics, some can’t do that so it’s important we got to see that. The finisher was kinda cool but a lil flashy. The one thing about all this new talent is the amount of new finishing moves and if they will get over or not. Tony is over and we all want to see more. D’Angelo tells Lash Legend to have him on her show next week.

Mei Ying vs Indi Hartwell

Tian Sha clearly meant nothing to Vince. Mei Ying should not have lost yet and not to someone so green. Is Indi good enough for a title run? I don’t think so and I don’t know who in their right mind would think so. Should have had Dexter be a distraction, that should be the story, Indi can’t win and is distracted by Dexter so it leads to their divorce.

Diamond Mine

Best vignette I’ve seen in a while, we are properly introduced to the members of Diamond Mine and they are a promising bunch. I see future champions, this stable is stacked. Roderick Strong is a very good wrestler to build such a strong team around.

Fatal 4-Way

MSK[c] vs GYV vs Jensen & Briggs vs Trick & Melo

Elimination tags seem like a cheap way out of a true finish. This match was banging though, I thought for sure that we’d have new Champs, especially with the odd hate MSK gets at the CWC. Briggs and Jensen were the last team standing, Big surprise if you ask me. Imperium attack after the bell, not such a big surprise.

Honorable mentions

  1. The crowd is more and more into the show each week.

  2. Odyssey Jones loses due to interference from Andre Chase.

  3. Tony D’Angelo gets a huge pop.

  4. Bron and Ciampa will Square off at Halloween Havok.

Final take

So much happening on these shows that I can barely keep up. The matches are good and a lot is thrown at you but it’s a fun ride for the entire 2 hours.
