B Fab vs Elektra Lopez

Hit Row are babyfaces and its GREAT! Who knew a faction like this would become the good guys?!

It might be ladies’ night but ain’t no ladies at this wrestling show. This was a hard-core match worthy of television, not just a natch looking for Dave Meltzer’s Wednesday star approval. Hit Row was dying out there during their promo, crowd must still think they’re heels I guess. On top of that, B Fab is GREEN! I know it’s developmental but damn. The match got better after the break, it actually got pretty decent. Lopez goes over with some good spots in the match. I thought they were gonna give that one to B Fab.

Xyon Quinn vs Oney Lorcan

Another good push coming for someone Vince and the higher ups see something in. Quinn wins a slightly competitive match to showcase what he brings to the table. He seems like he may be the real deal.

Tag team abundance

MSK address the crowd that still hates them or at least one of them. Grizzled Young Veterans stake their claim for a title shot. Carmelo Hayes comes out to put them on notice, very nice touch going forward with his story. Briggs & Jensen are newcomers but they want a piece. I like that the division is starting to get interesting again with new life.

Io Shirai[c] & Zoe Starks[c] vs Gigi Dolan & Jacy Jayne

Again, some people were green but the match was actually good. Io did her best to carry her opponents and her partner but even she was off at times. I was hoping for a title change to really get this NXT 2.0 thing going.

Tian Sha

Andre Chase vs Boa

Boa wins a competitive match whenMei Ying blows smoke in Chase’s face. Chase did pretty good, he is more of a main roster act, he can really hold his own in any segment; like a Damien Sandow. What I really wanna see is Boa challenge someone for a title soon, build him up and use him.

Strong[c] vs Grayson Waller

No one thought Missy Elliot in Malcolm Bivens DMs, I like to see that. Waller jumps Strong before the bell from behind, nearly defeating the newly crowned champ in a herculean effort. Waller is good, damn good! The dunk contest elbow drop was insane, I’m a fan already.

Lashing out with Lash Legend

I’m disappointed that it wasn’t live but it did the job. There was talk of other wrestler and the draft.

Andre Chase gets lashed out on as well. This segment is going to set up matches and serve as much needed exposition in storylines.

Kyle O Reilly vs Ridge Holland

Kor wins a good March. Kyle has no personality in the ring besides being a former Undisputed Era guy. Wagner helps KOR again, saves him from a post match beatdown. The crowd still hates Wagner.ets hope Vince gets the hint very soon.

Gonzalez[c] vs Monet

Gonzalez wins, match wasn’t crisp but it was necessary. The whole thing was a backdrop for Toxic Attraction to shine. Mandy Rose lines herself up to be the next challenger by beating down Monet and her team then surrounding Gonzalez for the post match beatdown.

Honorable mentions

  1. InDex on honeymoon.

  2. Bron Breakkee doesn’t give a shit and he’s not patient. Ciampa says he’s never been beaten for the NXT title.

  3. Knight and Jones get into it backstage.

  4. Definitely more adult content like condoms and cursing.

  5. Trey Baxter & Cora Jade promo. I like that they are a couple.

  6. Tony D’ Angelo promo, debut next week.

  7. Joe Gacy is really getting a decent push, I like that he is just kind of hanging around.

Final take

No one could have know the new class was going to be this good. I guess maybe Vince and HHH knew but man this is a talented bunch and we haven’t even seen everyone. This is the beginning of a very special era for WWE.
